Fuuinjutsu are the sealing arts. A subtype of ninjutsu which revolves around sealing countless things into vessels (which can also be countless things). Fuuinjutsu can also be used in the reverse - to unseal. It is comprised of 6 pretty self explanatory parts:
The target, the vessel, the trigger, the binding, chakra (obviously), and the key.
The target is of course what you're sealing. The vessel is what the target is being sealed into. The trigger is what causes the technique to occur (simple hand seals to chakra). The binding is what gets the target into the seal. Chakra is of course used to create the seal, maintain it, and release from it. And the key is what releases the seal and returns the object sealed back into the world.
The possibilities for all of these mentioned are practically limitless. Some are necessary and used while others aren't. Perhaps the most important are the target and vessel. Targets can be almost anything - people, chakra, links (between summoner and contracts like in the canon techniques), souls, etc. The objects can be simple kanji, the user's own body, another living body, a piece of paper, etc. So many possibilities here.
Another form of fuuinjutsu separate from sealing (although sometimes both are involved) are barrier techniques. These range from sensory barriers to things like the Four Red Yang Formation which produce powerful defensive barriers.
Ok, good explanation. Here are the first set of jutsu:
(Kekkai: Tengai Hojin) - Barrier: Dome Method Formation
Ok, first jutsu. Simply perform the jutsu and ask any questions you might have. Clap your hands and focus your chakra into the form of a sphere which slowly expands outwards up to mid range. The jutsu has a ten meter radius, but a 20 meter diameter but is still mid ranged if that makes sense.
(Kekkai Houjin) - Barrier Method Battle Array
Place a series of four exploding tags in a square formation around a specific area. Focus your chakra into this boundary, and have the exploding tags trigger through the motion of an opponent. The jutsu requires some prep, but it pretty much becomes a landmine type Jutsu.
(Kekkai Kireme no Jutsu) - Barrier Shatter Technique
So focus your chakra and make physical contact with the seal (be careful with this as you don't want to directly touch a lot of these seals). Use your chakra to act as a 'key' of sorts and try to break down the seal itself. It's the equivalent of kicking down a door instead of picking the lock.

Avenger claps his hands together gathering chakra throughout. Thereafter a spherical barrier forms and expands outwards 10 meters in each direction. Within the barrier Avenger can detect any form of movement - be it the small bugs in the grass or the leaves falling from trees.
Simple and useful technique. The radius part makes perfect sense. Its a nice introduction to barriers, tbh. No questions on this one.

In quick succession Avenger launches four kunai in four separate directions marking each vertex of a square covering short-range around him. With chakra the explosive tags become armed to detonate when any opponent walks through the boundary produced.
Once again another simple one. With it, as you said, you set up a pseudo landmine field. There is custom potential here I'm sure. Especially with Explosion release. No questions.

Focusing his chakra Avenger channels it into his own Boundary Barrier that he had erected just moments before to detect movement. In a dramatic 'glass-like' explosion it shatters and dissipates removing the movement sensory that Avenger had created.
Nice technique. Simple. I like how it 'shatters' it. Creates a nice effect. No questions here.

You know how the A rank shadow shuriken jutsu preserves seals on weapons?
1000x B ranked kunai is now within your grasp. Apply a sealing tag to your shuriken which would then expand and form a barrier around your shuriken.

Slam your hands on the ground, and form a powerful pink barrier of chakra. The seal begins to drain the chakra of the target. However, he can still move so it is relatively easy to escape, as long as you use a Jutsu over A rank you'd have to drop the seal in order to defend.

Take two scrolls or more, and distribute them to comrades or friends. Each should have a special sealing formula which connects them together. Avenger draws a kunai from his pouch appealing a normal tag to it. The tag erects a barrier around the kunai enhancing its defensive power.
Pretty neat technique. I like how you can contain opponents in it. Although if they know fuuin they can just shatter the barrier z.z. Or just break it with a technique that overpowers it pretty easily. No questions.

Cancer barriers now
Avenger slams his hands on the ground erecting a barrier around his opponent. Immediately as the barrier is formed it begins to drain chakra of his victim and restrict the techniques they can use.
So neat basic barrier. Restricts the opponent to S-Rank and lower jutsu. They can move inside of it. Shatters against B-Ranks. The moment it is erected it drains chakra so that is an important thing to note. And yeah as you said, if you need to use another technique you have to stop sustaining the barrier.

Lovely little technique that I'll make great use of in the NW for sure. Allows for each across-landmark communication. Each application of this technique has a different 'key'. Without that key set of hand seals you can't use these preventing unwanted ears from listening in on the conversations.

One question about this. The range for this technique is mid, so is physical contact really necessary?
Kotetsu gathers channels chakra into his hands before clapping them together, creating a spherical barrier that expands ten meters around him which served to detect anything that moves within it.
Kotetsu removed four explosive tagged kunai and threw them in front of him. They would ebb themselves into the ground in the shape of a square, forming a boundary that when passed by an opponent would explode
The Inuzuka channeled his chakra into his hand and reached out to touch the barrier he had just erected, forcing it to shatter
One question about this. The range for this technique is mid, so is physical contact really necessary?
Kotetsu removed another Kunai from his pouch and an specially marked sealing tag that he proceeded to wrap around its handle. This tag would serve to create a barrier around the weapon in order to increase it's defensive capability
Kotetsu slammed his hands to the ground and formed a pink cube of chakra around his target. Anyone caught inside would have their chakra drained until they manage to escape
Kotetsu removed twa scrolls with special seals that connected them from his pouch. One would be given to a person of his choosing, and after performing a specific set of handseals known by both himself and the selected person, they would be able to communicate through writing

( Fūin Fuda ) – Sealing Tag
Ok, so this Jutsu allows you to seal people, summons, or Edo Tensei'd people. You place a seal on the target (or on a technique restraining the target, like if you used wood pillars to prevent movement put them on the wood pillars). As you grow more experienced, you'll be able to incorporate the seal into your Jutsu with no need to manually place the seal.
( Chakra Haisui Fūin no Jutsu ) – Chakra Suppression Seal Technique
Simple enough jutsu, in case you are ever fighting a Jinchuriki. When he is in his incomplete form, simply apply the seal to his forehead, and forcefully with draw the Bijuu chakra. This will cause the Jinchuriki to revert to their normal human form.
( Han'you Fūin ) - Generic Sealing Technique
This Jutsu is nice because you can mention in your body that you have this type of seal. You can store a variety of weapons as Tattoos. This isn't even limited to weapons, like for example I require a soccer ball for my CFS. I don't wanna carry that on me. With the tap of a finger, you can release the seal, and summon the object.

Description: A basic sealing technique where the user places one or more tags either directly on a target or on a technique which is restraining it. As its placed, a sealing formula spreads around the technique or the target, sealing it. This technique has been seen used with Sand ninjutsu, Earth, Water, Wood, Cloth Ninjutsu, etc but basically any technique in which you can apply the tags can be used. In the case of expert ninjas, the tags might even be incorporated into the restraining technique, with no need to actually manually place the tag or tags. Additionally, less experienced ninjas can find that throwing one or more kunais with the sealing tags attached at the technique which will trigger the same effect when the kunais stick on the technique. This prevents the target from moving, molding chakra or even being summoned.
Note: The seal takes a while to form, so most opponents can either counter the restraining technique (thus preventing the sealing formula of taking effect) or rip off the tags from themselves negating its effects entirely. If the target, however, fails to counter the restraining technique or is counter to it fails or if he doesn't remove the tags in his next move, then the seal will fully be placed and the target unable to release himself.

Avenger tosses a kunai tagged with the generic sealing tag and throws it toward a fallen branch. As it strikes and the kunai attaches itself the tag triggers sealing formulae to spread over the branch. Shortly thereafter the formula completes causing the branch to be sealed away until a time when the user decides to unseal it.
Generic sealing tag with a variety of purposes. Nice and versatile in applications.

Simple in use, difficult in application >.>. I doubt a Jinchuriki will let you get close enough to apply a tag. Especially given how fast and strong they are. But if they screw up then this could definitely come in handy. Its concept is extremely simple but more difficult to apply.

Neat fuuinjutsu. Like Sealing Tag it has a variety of purposes. But this time it focuses on the unsealing of weapons to be used in combat and for ammunition. Pretty self explanatory. Nothing complicated can be sealed by this though, as it states. This includes CWs and special weapons.
Avenger inscribes a kanji on his forearm and taps it quickly summoning forth a set of kunai in a plume of smoke.

Kotetsu walks over to a random boulder and places a sealing tag on it, and shortly afterwards a sealing formula spreads around it to seal the object into the tag.
Ahh. You place the seal on a jinchuriki in his incomplete bijuu form, which forcefully sucks out the bijuu chakra and makes them revert to their original form >.>

Pretty cool technique, you place the seal on an object or location. When an enemy is close to the seal, it explodes. You can even use this on kunai and throw them for a destination.
( Shikoku Mujin ) - Four Black Fog Battle Formation
Maybe useful in NW if you are able to capture an opponent alive. But if you do, you place 5 seals around the container and then cause the opponent to be trapped in suspended animation unable to move or mold chakra. What kind of RPer would allow you to place 5 seals around a container and not counter, idk.
( Ho/Mizu/Kaze/Tsuchi/Rai Houin ) - Fire/Water/Wind/Earth/Lightning Sealing Method
One of the best canon seals. You take out a scroll, write the name of the element you wish to seal, then make four handseals. Then this smoke stuff comes out and seals the incoming jutsu. It works on elemental techniques up to S rank. It's also a good idea to mention in your bio you have these scrolls pre made, so you don't have to write the name of the element during battle.
(Kuchiyose: Raikō Kenka) - Summoning: Lightning Blade Creation
One of the more useless seals imo. It allows you to summon ninja tools, but the chakra cost is pretty significant. 5 per tool, summoning ten kunai is the equivalent of performing a forbidden ranked Jutsu. You can still add it to your bio if you want.

Maybe useful in NW if you are able to capture an opponent alive. But if you do, you place 5 seals around the container and then cause the opponent to be trapped in suspended animation unable to move or mold chakra. What kind of RPer would allow you to place 5 seals around a container and not counter, idk.

One of the best canon seals. You take out a scroll, write the name of the element you wish to seal, then make four handseals. Then this smoke stuff comes out and seals the incoming jutsu. It works on elemental techniques up to S rank. It's also a good idea to mention in your bio you have these scrolls pre made, so you don't have to write the name of the element during battle.

One of the more useless seals imo. It allows you to summon ninja tools, but the chakra cost is pretty significant. 5 per tool, summoning ten kunai is the equivalent of performing a forbidden ranked Jutsu. You can still add it to your bio if you want.
Avenger infuses a specialized sealing tag into a kunai and tosses it toward his chosen destination. There it would rest until a poor soul, or his opponent, walked by resulting in its detonation.
I wonder if this has actually been used. And the same kind of RPer that would let me perform 30+ hand seals. I like how all the useless ones are Sasuke related.
Avenger takes out a scroll and quickly inscribes the Kanji for Fire as an incoming fire technique rampages toward him. A thin mist is produced from the scroll and envelopes itself around the fire pulling it into the scroll.

Kotetsu removed a scroll from his ninja puch and wrote the word 'water' on it before making a number of handseals. Once that was done a vapor came forth from the scroll and enveloped an incoming water technique before sealing it into the scroll
