I don't fully understand what you're but Sasuke didn't kill Deidara and he had no intentions of killing Deidara. He just thought he would know Itachi was at since he's in the akatsuki

Deidara started the fight cuz he got butthurt Sasuke killed Orochimaru. Sasuke didn't care about Deidara he just wanted info on Itachi because they both was in Akatsuki.
