Buggy is a slim, yet muscular blue-haired man with an appearance resembling that of a clown. Buggy's face is always covered with makeup just like a clown, having cross bones going down his face forming an X, two blue lines streak down over both of his eyes, and red lipstick. In his younger years, he wore a striped white and red shirt with short sleeves, white gloves reminiscent of the ones worn by clowns, a an teal sash around his waist, and a pair of loose white pants reaching to his calves, just above a pair of striped socks and red pointy shoes. He also has a burgundy scarf around his neck. He wears an off-white captain’s coat with a matching gold brim hat. Atop of his hat, two tails of hair protrude downward as if they were tassels; across the front of the hat is the Iwagakure village symbol crossed out in red. He's recently been seen wearing a prisoners uniform, with black and white stripes. His long hair is kept in a pony tail and he has grown stubble.

Buggy is a self-serving, ill-tempered, over confident man with a great love for money. Willing to lie, cheat and weasel any way to further his personal gains, he’s known to betray his comrades, rarely showing concern for anyone, and holds loyalty towards no one. While being crafty and mischievous in nature, Buggy is overall incompetent and goofy. His big red nose is something he is very touchy about, going so far as to destroy an entire village if made fun of.

Buggy grew up in the impoverished outskirts of the hidden stone village. As a child his father was killed in the line of duty, serving as a squad leader within the Explosion Corps for the Iwagakure government. During his adolescence, his mother, a former-sensei at the Iwagakure ninja academy, contracted an undiagnosable heart condition, leaving her bedridden. Growing up with no father left him with little moral direction. That coupled with his mother’s crippling condition gave Buggy pushed Buggy to a life of criminality and theft, in the efforts of finding the funds in order to aid his mother seek medical attention for her ailment. Buggy’s criminal activity eventually caught the attention of village authorities, which gave him no other option but to flee Iwagakure.
He had left his mother without saying goodbye, leaving the money he’d stolen for her to find. He traveled north to the harbor within the land of stone, where he stowed away in the lower parts of a cargo ship located at the docks. The Cargo ship was exporting goods to the Land of Frost. Once he’d arrived, Buggy planned to travel to the Land of Hot Water on foot where he’d remain until it was safe enough for him to return back to Iwagakure and his mother. During the middle of his voyage, the cargo ship was ambushed by Bandits on the sea. Buggy was awoken by the sounds of screams and stomping above his head. He silently rushed up to the deck to find the cargo ship being ransacked by Marauders. Most of the cargo ship’s crew members aboard had been killed while the remaining living crew were bound. During the middle of the chaos, Buggy was knocked unconscious by one of the Marauders and taken captive.

Buggy later wakes up the next morning to find himself on land, bound to a tree in a forest clearing, caught in the gaze of a man with a crooked smile. This was the first time Buggy met the man by the name of Darabusa. He was a warlord who led of a band of missing-nin, and slaves from various lands and countries that were based in the western shores of the Land of Lightning. They’ve traversed across various countries, pillaging, killing, and causing havoc; having zero moral direction with a vendetta against the world government. His regime would have devastating scrimmages with government forces in the shadows, kept out of the public’s attention. Darabusa was a burly, yet lanky bearded man who wore a large grey fur coat over his battle damaged cloud village flak jacket. He wore a crossed out Kumogakure head band over his left eye to cover what appears to be a missing eye. Darabusa claimed Buggy as his property to be used as a weapon against the world government; should he try to escape he’d be killed on sight. Buggy was then introduced to one of Darabusa’s soldiers; a boy not too older than him named Shuu. There was nothing distinct about his appearance aside from a crossed out Sunagakure waistband around his midriff and his blood red hair; Buggy would later find out that Shuu’s personality would be just as heated as his hair color. Darabusa placed Buggy under Shuu’s supervision, and left them to their devices. From that day forward, Buggy and Shuu became “partners”. During Buggy’s first year in captivity, Darabusa’s men were relentless in Buggy’s treatment; showing no mercy and little empathy for his short comings. This was most noticeable in Shuu’s treatment of Buggy, often beating Buggy to the point where he’d be unable to stand up, after failing to meet his demands. Buggy knew at this rate, he would end up dead if he did not adapt. This triggered Buggy’s primal combative aptitude to sky rocket, pushing his body past its physical and mental limits. He’d become an animal of instinct, doing whatever it took to survive. Through this he’d surpass Shuu’s expectations during his weapons training and fought veraciously when sparring, being able to fend off against men 3x his age and 2x his size, proving himself to be combat ready.
As another year in captivity came to pass, and after months of Buggy had become a season fighter within the ranks of Darabusa’s militia. Through combat on the battle field, Buggy began to bond. He and Shuu had become like brothers; having each other’s back in every instance, and sharing a deep connection in their history. Like Buggy, Shuu was taken captive by Darabusa, but at a much younger age. Many years ago, Darabusa and his militia traveled across the Land of Wind when they came across a small settlement outside of the country’s capital. Darabusa had his men to his ransack the settlement for goods, killing all the residents and taking what little valuables they had. In the middle of the chaos, a young kunoichi was fending off several of Darabusa’s men from killing her child; that child was Shuu. Darabusa was a man of twisted principle, and sought out to take advantage of the situation. Darabusa offered her a deal; should she release her child to Darabusa, he would let him lie. Having no better alternative, she handed over Shuu. She was killed right after. Shuu had nearly no recollection of his mother, only having her Sunagakure plaque to remember her by. It was because of this, Shuu harbored hatred and carried an apathetic demeanor.
After hearing Shuu’s story, Buggy thought back to his mother in Iwagakure, who he had forgotten over the past two years and he convinces Shuu to escape back to their home countries, and Shuu.
After weeks of secretive preparations, Buggy and Shuu made their escape. They had hidden one of Darabusa’s ships hid it along the shoreline for their escape. During their escape, Buggy made a detour to Darabusa’s treasury to steal as much has he could. Entering the treasury caused Buggy to trigger a trap alerting Darabusa and his men. Once they realized they’ve been made, Shuu and Buggy made a break for the ship. Though Buggy ended up making it to the ship, Shuu was caught by Darabusa himself. Instead of heading back to help Shuu, Buggy put his mind on his mother and left him behind. This was not without great pain to leave his friend behind.

After escaping Darabusa’s clutches, Buggy arrives back to Iwagakure where his past as a criminal was long forgotten. He’d eventually come to find out that his mother had passed away shortly after he’d left the country 2 years ago. In his mother’s dying wishes she left behind, she desired for Buggy to follow in his father foots steps and join the Explosion corp. In hindsight, Buggy was fearful of joining the explosion corps throughout his childhood due to his father’s premature death, but now hardened through war, Buggy had no objections and joined. With no difficultly Buggy breezed through ninja academy, becoming a Jounin. He later passed the entry exams to join the Explosion Corp, and became one of the highest ranking officers within his division, 8 years after escaping from captivity. This was not without many complications during his time within the Academy and the Corp. Buggy’s feral nature he found during his time in captivity followed him and was apparent during his years within the academy. His ruthless and dangerous behavior caught the attention of his Sensei and multiple educators within the academy. His behavior only escalated when he joined the Explosion Corp. He was brutal with the oppositions he faced, and cared little for his comrades, often leaving them to die in when facing difficult odds. This eventually reached a tipping point when Buggy his unit were sent out to the east border of the country to retrieve an artifact stolen from the Tsuchikage’s palace by intruders from Takigakure. Once Buggy’s unit arrived at their target, Buggy allowed the skirmish between his unit and the intruders to happen with no interference, allowing his men to die. The fight ended with Buggy’s unit victorious, but not without grave losses. Only one of Buggy’s men survived, near death, grasping the artifact in his dying fingers. With no moral dilemma, Buggy stole the artifact leaving his man to die. Buggy reported back mission failure, which went without question until the man Buggy had left to die arrived back to Iwagakure and reported Buggy’s wrong doings. Buggy was dishonorably discharged from the Explosion Corp and was arrested by Iwagakure government.
[CENTER][I][COLOR="#B22222"]Akatsuki Arc[/COLOR][/I][/CENTER]
2 years have passed since Buggy was sentenced to life in prison. He’d naturally have no struggle surviving within a prison, but due to his past within the Military, he’d be targeted by inmates and prison guards alike. All hope was lost for Buggy until one night, a breakthrough happened for Buggy. The prison was under attack with explosives by two unknown assailants flying on a giant owl. One was later identified as missing-nin Deidara; the other wore an orange mask. They were in the prison to break out an Akatsuki member who had been captured by the Iwagakuren government. Deidara blew up the entire north wall of the prison, causing a mass prison break. Buggy witnessed Deidara using explosion release and recognized he was once a former member of the Explosion Corp. I’d also recognize him from military assignments as a member of an Akatsuki. During the chaos Buggy approached Deidara with the request of joining the likes of the Akatsuki, but was swiftly turned down, as Deidara saw Buggy as unnecessary competition. It was the other assailant who agreed to take Buggy along with them and escape from prison. Soon after Buggy became a full-fledged member of the Akatsuki, adorning a black cloak, but not without complications along the way… to be continued.

[JUSTIFY][INDENT]Buggy's Kekkai Genkai is Bakuton. Having served in the Iwagakure Blast Corps, Buggy has extreme proficiency over blast release techniques, being his primary tool in combat. During his time with the Corps, he learned taijutsu based fighting style known as Landmine fist. After gaining direct contact Buggy uses the Kekkai Genkai to subsequently generate an enormous explosion from the initial point of physical contact. The Power of the explosion is capable of destroying rock and causing an opponent to be hurt tremendously with a powerful force. Due to the direction of the blast, Buggy minimizes any potential repercussions, such as being struck by resultant debris and even recoil appears to be completely negated. Although he gained complete control over his Bakuton, he lacked proficiency in taijutsu which overall hindered his Landmine fist techniques.

During his time with Darabusa, Buggy picked up several skills from his crew, one of them being Kenjutsu. He initially began his training with swords, but eventually went on to use daggers as his primary weapons. He generally carries 10 daggers on his person, only using 8 at a time. They are primarily used as a close ranged weapon, wielded between the fingers as claws. The daggers also double as a midrange to long range weapon when used as a throwing projectile. For maximum effect, Buggy is known to imbue his daggers with Bakuton, making them a devastating weapon with explosive tendencies.[/CENTER]
