Byakugan can't see through the ground either as he didn't realize the real Deidara had gone underground so mines are still viable.

Not all explosions behave like the exploding clone which should be painfully obvious with its physical properties and how it swells with chakra before hand, secondly what would knowing when they are about to explode do exactly? Its either you avoid them or you are hit with the explosion, its ridiculous to think that would do absolutely anything here. Sasuke was caught despite the fact that he could see the mines positions Neji would be even more hindered and with lesser reactions and speed he does absolutely nothing here except shield himself with rotation the first few times.

Why is it being argued that Byakuga can't see the mines? It sees chakra, do I don't see why it can't see the mines underground. It has the hype to see better than 3 tomoes.

Literally nothing in Deidara's arsenal can help him. The missiles are destroyed by air palm or rotation. That dragon gets shitted on by air palm. Nano bombs are evaded with absolute ease. Only problem is killing deidara, but air palm again shits as Deidara can't see it.
