What are the odds that there is a "Number 1" in the Revolutionary Army?
And I'm talking about somebody above Sabo and below Dragon (Aokiji maybe?)

Very likely
Whitebeard had division 1 commander

Crocodile had mr 1 in his organizations

Also sabo was underwhelming and not strong enough to contend with admiral similar to how Marco was

Sabo was not able to contend with an admiral? Marco did something so impressive?
yeah was effectively clash with all three of the admiral trio

was able to fight evenly with kizaru until was interupted and handcuffs was used on him..

sabo clashed with admiral yes but once fuji actually did move sabo was not ready

what sabo did was no different then what luffy did if anything i rank luffys encounter > sabos hell even zoros look almost as impressive as sabos if not more because u know it was strictly zoros strength whereas sabo just relied on the devil fruit

then theres also the fact that law off screen was able to sucessfully evade doffy and fuji for a period of time..

tbh sabos skirmish with sabos was not that impressive.. to me (my opinion) maybe more impressive then zoro's but that is again based on opinion

Neither Sabo or Fujitora were serious so that makes no sense. Marco blocked a punch from Akainu so that makes his feat against Admirals far more impressive than Sabo? Not really.

It didn't say Sabo was the second strongest it said he was 2nd in command, regardless if there's someone in the revs yet to be seen that is stronger than him he's still the number 2, he's Dragon's successor if he falls that's what number 2 means.

Middle left, Brook says chief of staff means the second strongest of Rev's.

Well there ya go, he's second in command and second strongest member as well.
To be fair, that comes from ***********. The official translation translated it differently

Brook: "The one you said you met in Dressrosa? Your other brother?! The Chief of Staff?! That's the number two man of the Revolutionary Army!!!"

But i guess it's not so different anyway
