I'm suppose to be studying but I really don't know how to study for this class. My Physiology lab teacher is new to my school ( he was a teacher at a college in Alabama previous for the same subject) but he does like he doesn't know how he is going to give us test or how to conduct our activities into the test. I asked him how does he suggest I study for the EEG activity we did in groups in class and how would something such as that be conducted into the test.He told me don't worry about it because he is going to figure out how to put it on our test. Other people in the class ask him questions about the different activities we do in class and sometimes he says he doesn't know because he is learning to. I was recently trying to study for an upcoming quiz for this class but he only put certain material on our school website/moodle for us to study. He never post the lecture he goes over in class but he post a summed up version that doesn't have a lot of details in it. It's confusing because he tells us he is going to post it online but he never does. I did record him but I'm still having a hard time because I normal would listen to recording of my teachers while I read the notes we reviewed in class. For example I recorded my physiology lecture teacher and when I get home I make index cards of all her notes than listen to her lecture as I review over my notes but this lab class is just worrying me. I can't make anything lower than a B because I'm a nursing major. :kk::kk::kk: I just needed to vent because I don't know what to do.

YouTube and the internet in general is great for studying. You can learn math and science and English all by yourself. Or get a tutor or get a different teacher. My math teacher sucks and sometimes I just have to use the internet. He's a complete moron too.

That's what I might have to do.

I would love to get a different teacher but it's pass the drop date and I'll get a W on my online report card thing and that's not good to have. I'll see if I can find info online.

Study group, youtube or talking with upper year students wouldn't hurt about what to study for the exams (I know he's a new teacher but it should more or less be the same in terms of content).

Usually all the material is in the textbook so I would recommend studying that and after the first test you should get an idea for future what to expect from him.

How is your lab assessed?

I'm a med student and happen to be in a somewhat similar boat in physiology - one of my lecturers is an international with an extremely thick accent and I just can't understand the guy, and to make matters worse his lecture notes are usually too condensed/summarized to study from. What I do for that particular lecturer is to use Costanzo's physiology to conceptually internalize the relevant topics of the lecture and memorize only the minutia/details covered in the lecture notes.

Costanzo's physiology which I've found to be the most clear medical physiology textbook that is not a 1000+ pages tome might be overkill for you but you could try supplementing it with your lecture notes so that you conceptually understand those summarized lecture notes. If Costanzo is too overkill to study from I'd look around amazon or the library for physiology textbooks tailored to healthcare.

We have physiology labs too but our labs are just there to reinforce the lecture material (usually involves simple experiments and simulations of concepts covered in the lectures) and is not assessed independently of the lecture course so I don't really bother too much with them as I simply don't have the time.

That's literally cancer, I am a student in electrical engineering and I also had a dumb shit who was teaching us "algorithm and data structures" now the subject wasnt even that hard but the teacher was completely clueless, I mean I failed 2 times to pass it until I took a course outside the university that required extra money, it was worth it though since I passed it.

But u can also check online it may help u It didnt work for me but it might work for u, studying with other people is also really good u usually dont get stuck at things u dont get or u find the solution faster or try to find another textbook that is overall more complete and understandable, good luck!

Marry a educated teacher?

do your best to answer questions how that particular teacher would answer it.
