Throughout part 1 Kishi made a strong point that hard work could get you anywhere you wanted to go. That being a genius wasn't required to become somebody, and he used Naruto to showcase that point.

But then we get into part 2 and he threw all of that out the window. Naruto came from clan that was full of chakra, and that's why he was able to do what he did. Everyone who worked hard got nowhere unless they were part of some kind of special bloodline.

So at what point exactly did he decide to forget about hard work and focus on genetic advantages?

He didn't throw shit out of the window. His story was always about the parallels of talent and hard work. Naruto got where he was through hard work, and Sasuke through talent.
You're telling me his Uzumaki genes had nothing to with it?

I mean, he worked somewhat hard, but he didn't get where he is because of hard work. If he had just become friends with Kurama without any sort of training whatsoever, he would be almost as powerful as he is right now. And he's a Jinchuuriki because of his genes.

All i'm saying is that if you have good genes, you're pretty much gauranteed to be powerful. Not so much for hard work.

On second thought, I could kind of see your point.

8 Gates does exist, but I still believe part 2 favored genes over hard work.

It's funny how what you attributed to Naruto not being a hard worker didn't occur until wayyyy towards the end of the series. Yeah, if Naruto did that, he'd have gotten as strong as faster. But did he? No. He didn't have that option until he had already built up a ton of power through training.

so hard.
Like I said above, this is way late into the story. You *****s acting like Naruto got the Asura power-up at the start of Shippuden.

The only things Minato set up was him meeting Kushina. Did u not read the manga? U forgot he fought Kurama and Kurama even being shocked like "wat power" some shit like that he said. And pls don't pull shit out your ass all Kushina did was hold him down so Naruto can pull Kurama chakra. You don't know what u talking about

Failsafe 1: minato stopping and resealing kurama vs pain

Failsafe 2: Minato setting up the kushina meet when naruto wanted to fight kurama.

I'd tay that 2 when im chained down by kushina. Kurama must have gotten flashbacks.

Bruh you're lost. Yes minato set two failsafe but that's not what we're discussing I'm talking about Naruto physically engaging in combat with Kurama your two failsafe one was to prevent him from letting Kurama take control and the other which I said was only an aid to help restrain his mobility so he can fuse his chakra with his. That was only a partial help she didn't engage in any combat so she didn't do half the work her son did

Naruto barley worked hard to get where he is now, after his sage mode training.

This isnt even deniable. Seriously wtf?! After his sage mode training he is literally getting handouts after handouts of power ups.
