Stop posting lmao, the reason Zoro has been uninteresting post timeskip is because he is so predictable, Oda just doesn't allow him to look bad on screen, I admit it, Love Cook admits it, and most of the people in this thread admit it, including you. So I don't need your filler talk, when I know you already agree with me.
Stop talking like an ******* man, taking W's and L's don't try to make that into some kind of thing, you're the only one doing that. the amount of characters you're using to shorten the actual word you're typing is almost the same so it's good for nothing.

But I'm glad that you finally came to the conclusion that Zoro is a bland character. So have fun with that all those big fat W's. You need to wait a year but then you will have one Zoro chapter where he one shots the baddie, totally worth it.

I'll just stick with the one that actually does stuff. Launching attacks on yonkou ships and fighting Doflamingo and Vergo. Screwing with shichibukai. Now has his own arc.

And so what he gets injured along the way, It's more fun this way. But like I said Zoro will never outshine Luffy in terms of fights, and he will never be the one who goes to adventure on his own. So what is left for him really ?

He'll have another one-liner and he'll beat up a character that's pretty weak, just like he is since getting back to the New World.

You know the salt is at maximum when the reach becomes blatantly terrible. Goes on adventure? Sanji did that thing how many times in 15years. 1? 2 times? Getting a arc of his own? This arc involves multiple parties(Big Mom, Capone, Vinsmokes), not just Sanji whose focus in the arc as it stands is still below Luffy's, so i've yet to see it.

As for Zoro? Romance down arc was used to humanise him(who was thought as a demon) while showing his care with a little girl he ended up even dedicating one of his attack to(oni giri), showed his resolves(to become WSS at all cost due to a promise to a dead friend he took the sword to fulfil his goal with) as well as defeating the main baddy(Morgan). Baratie arc was used to create the relationship between Zoro and his ultimate goal(Mihawk), arc where Zoro's willpower and resolve was the most highlighted(which was also the origin of Sanji's inspiration to join the group alongside Luffy).

In loguetown, a Kuina looking alike marine was introduced with the goal to take all the meitos who in the end dedicated her goal to defeat Zoro and take his meito with Zoro who at first was always trying to avoid her, but is now not against fighting together in necessary moments with the "gender weakness" brought up by childhood rival/friend(Kuina) being the central topic.

The Whiskey Peak arc was almost entirely dedicated for Zoro(for obvious reasons), alabasta arc was the arc where he first learnt how to cut steel, showed his and Luffy's resolves "winning" a fight with the Bellamy gang by not fighting them with the introduction with the potential final villain who ended up trying to capture them, got 5 fights in skypiea where he first unlocked his long range slashes including fighting the strongest priest, took responsibility for the whole crew to face a shichibukai stronger than the arc antagonist, taking Luffy's burden as well as the whole crew on his own.

Had a sabaody arc dedicated to hype all the supernovas him included, took control of the ryugu palace to engage negociations in hope of the crew leaving the island as soon as possible, defeated the fishmen island main antagonist beginning of the arc, was introduced to a swordsman fire cutter from Wano that he showed interest in since little garten and developed later on in his fight with Ryuma, could push an admiral back, saved the dressrosa kings(Riku), coloseum hero as well as nakama(Usopp), Wano retainers(Kinemon, Kanjuro)'s life, as well as being the origin of the group to stop the birdcage, after training with a top tier, has yet to take any L's since the timeskip, and now is going in a new world island Oda specifically created for their swordsmanship, and as for the funny moments he has plenty for anyone who actually pay attention to his character.

Fodderizing all his opponents without receiving a single scrath is probably the huge change Zoro received between his pre where he was going through fight with sheer power of will after being completely bloodied in major fight and his post-skip self, with the sudden change being the reason why majority is missing his preskip self and i fully understand that, but that's only because those people don't understand Zoro's development.

He trained with a top tier with the mystery behind his left eye scar still being unknown yet. Oda is simply trying to show the result of Zoro's training with a top tier little by little, not only power-wise but also character-wise(he is more serious than Luffy, hence his speech around the "new world....." in Punk Hazard) and for that reason then, Zoro is the character he simply has to hold back as much as possible by making him show his progress little by little(Tashigi wondering about his real power was a hint of this) in a coherant way until his reserved fight(s) happening down the line, most likely in Wano.

That's why he isn't allowed to look bad against Doflamingo level fighters or below, with characters tiers higher than him(Fujitora) being the one used to stop him in these situations  The biased posters understand this, which is why they think they try to downplay him at all cost. Just like how Vergo was supposed to be stronger than Zoro in Punk Hazard. After Zoro fodderized someone on his level(Pica), the speech started to change. Not gonna lie though, i wasn't expecting him to fodderize something at that level myself. I kinda understood why Oda made him crush his opponents in fishmen island and punk hazard to show his return and all, but i was a bit surprised Oda did the same thing in a Shichibukai arc opponent that was supposed to parallel Alabasta where he almost died.

It won't happen in Wano though don't worry. Not only it's an island of swordsmen(so bound for Zoro to get some character progression), but it's involving a yonko with subordinates stronger than Doflamingo. Can't wait for the excuses when Zoro's reserved fight in Wano would be to defeat that level of opponent. I see the same Vergo thing happening after Wano, but don't worry Zoro will surely be bloodied after the fight, so at least you may have something to downplay him when the rest will finally appreciate their missed bloodied pre-skip Zoro again

You don't need to be an almost ambition less, weak-willed gag chracter and lovy doggy cook who can fight to be an interesting character. Hence why he isn't my cup of tea

The amount of salt Zoro brings to this forum is unreal.
I can't wait till Zoro defeats a Doflamingo/FM level character soon too see the downplay his opponent wil get.

Zoro is overall good character wise, by one piece standards. C'mon people, just because he doesn't take much L's doesn't mean you need to say he is a bland character to bring him down somehow.
Even Goda says you don't hate on Zoro. :bdpf:

As for Zoro? Well tbh if you dig a little more, you can find alot more characterization in these events for Zoro, along with a few more SHs. But overall, well summarized.

Not Zoro's fault he makes his opponents look weak. What's weak to him is an obstacle for Sanji lmfao.
I don't know why you keep bringing up the difference in strength, because It's been said numerous times now. That is not what it is about. Sure Zoro is stronger, but he is boring as fuck. He never does anything. Running around till the arc is 99% over, cuts a guy and goes back to drinking in the crow's nest.

If you would read the actual thread you would know it is way more so I'll answer it with a quote from this thread.

He sabotaged Enel's ship and saved Usopp and Nami, he became Mr. Prince in Alabasta to screw with Crocodile, He ran off to catch the sea train to save Usopp and Franky, He opened the Gates of justice in Enies Lobby. He ordered G5 around on Punk Hazard. Launched a counter attack on Big Mom's ship.
And there are more, but at least it's more than 2.

Cool character building Brook has a whale waiting for him, still doesn't motivate to do stuff in the new world.

Some more character building, which still doesn't explain why Zoro does jack shit for entire arcs, chasing his tail. And Nami wants to map the whole world !

I'll give you the Whiskey peak one, that is a nice example of showing initiative and doing stuff on your own according to your character instead of waiting for your captain to give you an order. The cutting steel and flying slashes are just power upgrades. Everyone has those. Thank Usopp for the climatact otherwise Nami would be a boring character right ?

Sounds like a lot, but really isn't if that is what he did in 6 arcs. You name Sabaody, Little Garden, Thriller Bark, Wano, Fishman Island and Dressrosa. But I'm glad he pushed the cage and showed interest in fire.

Again it's not really about the development, all I'm saying i that his character is boring. He has his thumb up his ass most of the arc. Just like Brook, Chopper and Robin. Oda doesn't have a place for them when Luffy is running around creating chaos. Sanji however uses the chaos to disappear and turn it into an advantage.

The mystery scar that has been teased so many times throughout the story. Or maybe it's just a scar. And some future fights to look forward too. Can't wait for Sanji most likely in Elbaf.

That's why he isn't allowed to look bad against Doflamingo level fighters or below, with characters tiers higher than him(Fujitora) being the one used to stop him in these situations  The biased posters understand this, which is why they think they try to downplay him at all cost. That is not true it's Vergo was higher up the ladder than Pica was. He used to be one of the seats Pica now was in but there was a huge power difference between those seats, just look at Trebol. Vergo was Doffy's right hand man for years and a vice admiral in the navy. His display with CoA on a piece of bamboo was way more impressive than Pica with a sword. The airwaves coming off Vergo's attack folded thick steel lab doors. Imagine what he would do if he hit Pica the stone guy with a direct hit.

No excuses from my part, I welcome some Zoro story time in an arc, would be a first post-timeskip. Hope Brownbeard isn't around to carry him through it, or that a fairy steals his swords again so that he has to chase it.

As for the last statement why do you think Zoro's dream is more important than Sanj's dream ? He is a cook, why is pursuing all blue not a good ambition for a cook ? He also is not really weak willed, he sacrificed himself more times than Zoro did for the crew. lovy doggy is just a character trait just like sleepy drunk.

Hence why he isn't my cup of tea
If you're a tea drinker you must be loving Earl Grey, because you have a bland taste.

The amount of salt Zoro brings to this forum is unreal.
I can't wait till Zoro defeats a Doflamingo/FM level character soon too see the downplay his opponent wil get.
OMG tweedledum, Have you been under a rock the last 4 pages. It's not about the strength. He isn't doing anything ! He disappears for the entire middle section of the arc post time skip. That is the point. Not how strong he is.

Even Goda says you don't hate on Zoro. :bdpf:
If Oda liked him a bit more, maybe he would give him something to do.

Zoro pushing back Fujitora isn't that great a feat at all. Luffy was pushing Fujitora back with Gear Second, something Gladius could take a blow from and shrug off. Fujitora's physical strength has never been emphasized as extraordinary like the other Admirals, so Zoro doing something Gear Second, which has been consistently portrayed as not that strong anymore since the timeskip started(using it to beat down a Pacifista, Gladius shrugging off a Gear 2 attack, Doflamingo calling it weak, it being utterly useless against Cracker, a String Clone swatting away a Jet Pistol without effort, Monet blocking a Jet Gatling), isn't really a major feat.

And Zoro hasn't fodderized any opponents. His opponents, minus Pica, have all been weak sauce. Monet, fodder Fishman, a Pacifista are all weak as shit. What Zoro did to them isn't something Sanji would be unable to do.

Jeez my thread got out of hand the last few days....

All this was originally was a post sympathizing with Sanji fans as a Zoro fan about how much it must have sucked to have your character out of the manga for what seemed like an entire year. It was never supposed to be a comparison between Sanji and Zoro.

But if you ask me it comes down to who you see as more interesting. Every SH needs more development and is lacking at times. It all opinion based and it comes down to you and what you like. Sanjis character is getting his much deserved development this arc like he should he honestly needed it. But Zoro will be getting his character development when we get to Wano. The same can be said for Usopp when we reach Elbaf. Oda has seemed to set up arcs for this very reason. So just give it time and stop with the hate.

Remember there is no wrong answer here people. Your argument will be met with an argument every time because were talking opinions. So just keep it classy and agree to disagree on shit. I mean damn I know know we love ONE PIECE but when it comes down to it its just a story people.

Sanji didn't freeze, he was restrained by Doflamingo, the same guy who could restrain the person with the single greatest physical strength in the entire manga and turn him into a foot-stool. Zoro would have gotten the exact same treatment.

Sanji cracked a leg vs a non Haki Vergo :|
You must be registered for see images
Sanji was also severely injured on Punk Hazard to the point that a blow from Nami caused him an immense amount of pain. Sanji didn't fight Vergo at 100%.

Hasn't shown any major upgrade since the Diable Jambe :|
Hell Memories, which produced flames on the same scale as Zoro's super cut.

Meanwhile Zoro has been slicing anything in his path without any effort.
Zoro's opponents post-skip have been:

1. Pacifista. Sanji snapped its neck with one blow

2. Fishman fodder who couldn't even scratch the weakest of the Strawhats.

3. Monet, who was a weakling that any member of the Monster Trio can beat

4. Pica, who despite being a weak fighter made Zoro struggle due to the tactical usage of his Devil Fruit.

5. Fujitora, who winded him with one attack and left him looking embarrassed.

6. Carrot, who outmaneuvered him and left him confused on what exactly she was doing.

I mean he even fodderised Hody Jones the main shit :sdo: He was stated to move faster than a Shark fishman underwater
Hody Jones was defeated by a couple Gear 2 attacks and a single Gear 3 attack AFTER overdosing on steroids. Both of these Gears were portrayed as Luffy's B-material in the timeskip when he used it to knock out Bellamy(a fighter even weaker than Dellinger), an admittedly weak fighter like Monet blocked a Jet Gatling 100%, to destroy a Pacifista, when Gladius took a Jet Stamp with little to no damage, and the countless times both Gears failed to even register for both Cracker and Doflamingo. Zoro beating him BEFORE his overdose on steroids isn't impressive.

Sanji tries to save Strawhats. Gets shafted, has to be saved by big brother Law.

Law ends up babysitting Sanji and the rest of the strawhats. Has to do everything from stopping Doflamingo's overheat to stopping Fujitora's meteors.

Just look at how Law tossed Sanji aside like a fodder.
You must be registered for see images

And proceeded to do the protecting Strawhats role the way it was supposed to be done, because Sanji was too incompetent to do it.

These are the moments Sanji used to have as a hero pre timeskip but can't even get it done post timeskip, to the point where characters like Law have to tell Sanji to sit down and let the grown men do it.

The same thing would have happened to Zoro, and he looked just as embarrassing trying to rush in to play hero for Law only to end up on one knee and out of breath after one attack.

Lmfao everyone and their mothers know Zoro would not get humiliated like that beside Law. Don't even try that haha.

Oda went so far that he couldn't even have Zoro fight Doflamingo (because Zoro is too strong to be used as a hype tool for Mingo) he had to have an Admiral stop him and even the Admiral could only do so briefly in a complete surprise attack. Zoro then sends a casual one handed slash at the admiral sending him over a meter back, while simultaneously breaking out of the cheapshot attack.
