she didnt break free, the genjutsu effect weared off eventually. and it wasnt in the next panel, naruto and sasuke had fought for nearly 12 hours or so before she woke up. making stuff up as usual

Her genjutsu skill was tested all but 4 times in the series. One was from a rinnengan user. The other failed one, she was too caught up with sasuke to see through anything because she wasn't focused.

I think her affinity is in good standing. The ball is in kishi's court for never highlighting it enough.
