May I ask you all who spend their time reading this thread.

What is your opinion regarding the person named Pablo Escobar.

I'm pretty sure that if you're going to reply you have at least the common knowledge/ information about him.

To start off, I'll speak my own mind on the subject:

I consider him a very strong person because of his personality which of course is pretty damn strong. In today's terms we'd call him an Alpha Male.
I know he was not a Saint doing Narco jobs and killing people.

People say that he was a psycho, yet the cherished him like a GodSent when he was building churches, districts, playgrounds, gyms for the poor.

He wanted to rise to power by joining the Congress and later apply for Presidency which was portrayed at that time as a 100% success (Population loved him, Mass Media was on his side, More wealth than any rich mongrol from Colombia) Indeed he wanted to reach such a status so he can further develop his Narco job. Yet, he still did good things and would've probably kept doing good things for his country.

Okay, he was a bad individual when it came to killing, but he kinda started to kill many people when they started to attack him and they did attack him in public spaces which also implies that the "good" guys killed innocents as well.

He killed politicians (a lot) can you tell me that politicians are the angels of his earth ? I can't name one politician in my country who wouldn't try to rob his country of every penny if he could take the cash and run.

Overall: I respect his personality, his mind's power. I dislike his temper and attitude.

Edit: I don't know how many people read the book written by his only son and how many watched the TV SHOW or did both.

One more thing that I respect him from heaven to earth is the last things he told his son before he was about to die.

"I know they're listening us. My son, I will not let them have the glory of messing me up. The last I have 14 bullets and the last one is for me."

*This line of his makes me shed a few tears because I understand from his words the power of his mind and life*

He wasn't pure evil, like some folks tend to assume regarding anyone who deals with drugs. I think he did really want to help out the community, but when you are dealing in illegal, risky business, crime happens. He sounds like a man who grew up troubled, actually wanted to help, and did so the only way he knew how, which sadly ruined many lives. Tough judgment call here IMO

To me, he's but a criminal from a 3d world country on the other side of the globe. Nothing interesting, really.

What a mature judgement. I consider these to be some very nice words.

He was a family man that thought about providing for his family. He just didn't choose the right path to do so, but his reason was righteous.
