IDK how late I am on this or if this has already been pointed out....but....they show what I presume is 4 or 5 year old (pre-academy age) Naruto saving Hinata from bullies in the opening scene.

To fight the bullies, Naruto attempts the shadow clone jutsu.

Now, hold up....didn't he learn th shadow clone jutsu AFTER the academy graduation??

Is this a plot timeline f*ck up?....or is it possible that he was attempting the bull sh*t academy level, intangible shadow clone jutsu?

The movie was filler. Part 1 Hinata got rotation in a filler, doesn't mean anything.

Don't sweat the details.

If he did then that wouldn't be canonically correct then, but it's a movie so they have add stuff for entertainment value

I thought it was just Clone Jutsu, not Shadow Clone Jutsu. It was a long time ago. I have to laugh at the poor dude, because, even if he successfully performed the jutsu, that clone still wouldn't do shit :lol

Just rewined to verify....it was definitely the kage bushin no jutsu....guess it doesn't matter all these years later...it just stuck out to me on re-watch.

Stop being salty you dweeb.

Oh yea...and another thing....why was Naruto assigned to 'protect' hinata on the mission?

Wasn't she a full fledged shinobi too?

Or did she reclaim her 'heiress" status after proving herself in the war?

What gives man?!

Sigh..... What he tried and failes to do was bushin no justu regular clone justu. He failed at that one multiple time as that was the graduation requirement for passing the ninja academy. So from the time he was a kid(saving hinata) up until he successfully performed tajuu kage bushin no justu(multiple clodow clones) against mizuki, he couldnt perform the basic one. People tend to forget there is a basic version on clone justu. Naruto just utilizes the shadow ones and alot more of them

Naruto was just being a gentlemen to a fine Queen of Narutoverse. There is nothing wrong with that.

basically, because they needed to have a reason to push Naruto and Hinata together for the sake of plot and connecting the dots on how they hooked up. Naruto the Last=waste of time. Retconed his childhood and wasted a chance to have a decent villain
