The entire gravity dimension section to the sealing of Kaguya was terribly adapted. Terrible animation and too many unnessesary flashbacks that broke immersion to what was happening. They were the embodiment of everything wrong with the shippuden anime, but this is a shame because the Kaguya fight before that was well animated and directed, the ice dimension battle was heavily improved upon from the manga. The final segment was awful, Kakashi's Susanoo was not nearly as epic as it was in the manga, everything was stiff and lazy. Can't believe they would botch the chance to give an epic send off to the final villain with a high budget episode from a good director. They are nearing the end so why not go all out the with budget? Are they really pooling everything in favor of the Naruto and Sasuke fight? That fight is important don't get me wrong but Kaguya was the conclusion of the Akatsuki conspiracy we had been following from the start of Shippuden she deserved a proper final battle with fluid high octane action and animation like Naruto vs Pain.

Because they know that they will be able to mint money from gullible fans (like yourself) even if they produce subpar episodes towards the end of the series. Their revenues are not dropping, but they cut down on the costs,by dropping the animation quality. At this point, with the series ending, they are hardly worried about stuff such as fan retention. So why not drop the quality?

For franchise longevity? You still need to worry about fan retention because the anime is directly connected to the success of all the Naruto media including video games, action figures, manga sales, Hinata pillows, etc.

I agree the rest of fine, well I would have appreciated better animation for the gravity dimension as well but it was acceptable because I was holding onto hope that they'd fire all cylinders for the finale of the Kaguya arc. Instead they gave us a badly drawn, stiffly animated, slowly paced, drenched in flashbacks, piece of shit that completely ruined any sense of finality to the events. It was supposed to be this immense overwhelming power clash with Kakashi pulling a Susanoo out of his ass for he sake of making things climactic, Kaguya turning into a giant deformed rabbit monster thing, then turning into a giant black ball, and then having a high octane scuffle with Kakashi and then getting sealed. It was well done in the manga, but it was no translated well at all to the anime. The beauty of the art was gone, the fast paced action felt slow and clunky and lacking atmosphere and tension. It was just like ok this is happening this is happening it could have had a sense of epic scale but the stiff poor art and animation just couldn't evoke that because it looked bland and dare I say like current Toei's sad excuse for animation. Pierrot is usually better than this, so why did they decide to drop the ball on one of if not the most crucial episode in the war arc right beside Naruto versus Sasuke 2.

Ever heard of squash and stretch? It's something used in animation to exaggerate movement. That is what that scene is an animation technique. When something moves so fast the human eye cannot keep up with it it becomes blurred that is the effect they were going for in that particular 2 second scene.

These episodes towards the end won't have any impact on that. People hooked for 10+ years don't turn away that easily

Wow. Shitty animation in DB Super can also be justified using these logic
