From what I can tell the manga is back in action and incase you hadn't known they did 3 movies and have 10 episodes thus far of a new series, it's the bees knees also, I am even considering a crunchyroll subscription just to catch the next 4 eps

Yeah i went to actually check and they had 3 chapters come out so far this year, they seem to come out around the 25th of each month and the anime airs new episodes every friday. If you haven't seen the movies I suggest you start there first as it covers everything with griffith and the band of the hawk, animation is really awesome as it's heavily computer animated, but in a good way.
