Yeah. He has good reactions. I still don't see him actualy landing a hit to Kakashi. He gets the clone feint treatment.

hate to be that guy who makes a thread having already being biased on a victor but I think Dodai is getting underappreciated here.

Props has to be given to anybody who can react, outsmart and defend to the speed of the Third Raikage and survive a blast from Madara's strongest destructive technique.

Literally, hardly anyone knows about Dodai. He is one of the strongest support ninja in the manga honestly.

Nah Dodai is too fast for him. And that Kakashi wasn't proficient in Kamui usage. Especially vs Long Range users. Dodai would eat him up.

Literally, hardly anyone knows about Dodai. He is one of the strongest support ninja in the manga honestly.

Technically he's only Jonin rank (even though rank isn't indicative of much in this manga) and i'd say low Kage tier is a bit much since they're both just below that level IMHO. Then again, 'Kage tier' is another hard one to call when you look at what passes for a Kage in this series sometimes.

I think the matchup has to be focused on their abilities. Kakashi's unlucky because his main piercing attack is lightning style and likely won't break Dodai's rubber but he's also more versatile than Dodai. Dodai will be on full defensive as it's the nature of his jutsu and Kakashi will be on the full offensive otherwise he's in trouble. I think Kakashi's greatest assets here are his sharingan (to not get tricked) and his intelligence.

Cee, Ino & Dodai are the greatest support ninja, no question.

Nothing in Kakashi's arsenal is strong enough to pierce through Dodai's defenses. With that in mind, Dodai has excellent offense due to the capability of expelling rubber from any pore on his body.

The quickest way to end this for Dodai is to enter CQC, and simply tag Kakashi with rubber, than manipulate it to engulf his ass, and suffocate him.

The Genjutsu factor doesn't really worry me as much, seeing as Kakashi's never really emitted any note worthy illusions from my understanding. Basic Genjutsu is simply af to get out of.

Didn't even consider suffocating! but yeah, I still see it as unlikely that Kakashi will get trapped easily. He always has foresight and the sharingan/battleintelligence will see him pulling the Rubber Rope/Ball tricks before he does them.

Dog Wall and similar jutsu would be really useful here- even if the rubber sorta nullifies it. This is total speculation but I don't see Dodai being very efficient in taijutsu at all- and being even just mediocre in CQC puts you in complete danger against Kakashi. Though i'm not a fan of him, he's remained a great taijutsu fighter the entire series.

Also his smell can distinguish between clones and whether he's getting fooled or not! In short, Kakashi will have to get completely overwhelmed to get a scratch but when he does- it's all over. Dodai likely managed to do that jutsu feat so easily because- as you said, he's a support ninja. I don't expect he'd done much fighting or expended much chakra at that point in the war yet.
