Although sheer force is the obvious necessity, rank the Kage Summit Arc Bodyguards in order of effectiveness (AS A DEFENSIVE BODYGUARD NIN)

1. Darui (sheer power & already PTS Kakashi tier)
2. Kurotsuchi (Jutsu is perfectly defensive & caught even Kabuto- a main villain)
3. Cee (Versatile and the perfect support style ninja)
4. Kankuro (With the Sasori puppet, almost as powerful as his sister, more versatile. Puppetry isn't great for defending others though)
5. Ao (Sensor type, experienced and intelligent. Shame he and his division ran on sight of Shisui Uchiha tho so points deducted)
6. Torune Aburame (by manga feats only, otherwise he's muuuuuuch higher)
7. Temari (Most powerful in brute force of the Kage bodyguards, jutsu are too large-scale for indoors)
8. Akatsuchi
9. Foo
10. Chojuro
11. Okisuke

Obviously Dari is top dude but then I think it's akatsuchi, kurosuchi slime jutsu is weak af it ain't doing shit and just about anybody with descent speed can avoid it, you give her credit cuz she stopped kabuto for about half a second despite yamato and other cloud ninjas being there that he was also avoiding at the same time, she is one of the bottom at the list not top...

Chojuro, tear and Kankuro are all way above her and Ao, who you discredited because he ran from one of the most op characters of a generation, Shi Sui had as much fear and respect as minato and none of those body guards till this day can compete with Shi Sui most of the gokage can't beat him if any so I don't see how Ao loses points for running away from Shi Sui which probably canonically happened more than 10 years ago prior to the kage summit...

Also Cee is garbage as well, this is the most powerful not the most useful, Cee would be the most useful support but he is far from the most powerful bodyguard his only abilities are sensing and blinding jutsu and a weak as water jutsu see got caught by a weak a genjutsu by Sasuke and was paralyzed the whole fight he's no help at all

Kabuto has...really good speed and was only able to escape it because of the fact he can regurgitate himself through his own throat xD

Definitely not a weak jutsu when it momentarily disabled an OOTSUTSUKI and trapped Kabutomaru. Unless a ninja can do this or they're Ootsutsuki level then they're outta luck.

I just think that a High Jonin with an entire fleet of ninja should at least be able to stage an attack on the likes of Shisui or Minato. Shisui got solo'd by Danzo in two different ways in the anime. Of course he loses points for it, even if it was a tactical decision.

Honestly, defense-wise, aren't Akatsuchi's skills pretty fitting? He creates a large earth golem (that's probably pretty sturdy) and is, uh, a large meat shield, if all else fails

I think he has the golem jutsu himself; I don't recall him showing anything speed-related in the manga (I think he has the least panel time out of all bodyguards, he was never even seen in the war). However, the databook calls him the Tsuchikage's "shield" and he did become Kurotsuchi's bodyguard later.

Also, why'd you put Chojuro so low? His sword ain't too bad. And Torune, while pretty hax, is questionable defense-wise. Remember, he has no ranged attacks in the manga.

Kankuro should be 3rd. He has many puppets to provide protection and they all can paralyze via poison.

Chojuro should be 4th. You're talking defense, but Ao has shown nothing in those terms, where as Chojuro's sword is versatile and hard to get past.

Torune should be 5th. Hard to get past him as one touch and its GG.

Temari should be 6th. She can blow you hard, making it difficult to get around her.

Then Ao, then Cee.
