"This is how it starts...the fever..the rage...that turns good youtubers...INTO LIVELEAKERS!!!"

Source:

"YouTube will now retain the right to demonetize any videos that contain, “Controversial or sensitive subjects and events, including subjects related to war, political conflicts, natural disasters and tragedies, even if graphic imagery is not shown.”

And worst of all? “Inappropriate language, including harassment, profanity and vulgar language,” is also being demonetized." INAPPROPRIATE LANGUAGE????
"YouTube’s new policy will completely disincentivize YouTubers from discussing politically incorrect topics or expressing controversial opinions because they know they will be punished for doing so. Many YouTubers make a living off their channel and will therefore be walking on eggshells to avoid the company’s stringent new rules."

I don't even make youtube videos anymore but this is bullshit. I hate political correctness and I hate when it's enforced. This should be illegal but since google is a private company it's not. It's basically forcing content creators to play by their rules and follow their laws. Smh. What do you guys think?

The big Youtubers can easily migrate to Twitch to do their thing, however, I'm devastated at the small Youtubers who are trying to make it their job but are barely getting by, now potentially getting their much-needed money taken from them because Youtube/Google did not like what they saw.

YouTube has been going to sheet ever since Google bought it. Eventually Google will kill YouTube completely, and they already make it hell with just advertisements.

It's not a politically incorrect thing(unpolitical corrects sounds like something my 6 year old nephew would say), it's anything remotely controversial or associated with something negative. They demonetized a bunch of videos where YouTubers were telling their stories on how they overcame depression, and giving advice on how to deal with depression. Both of which are politically correct topics.

It's just a stupid, overly vague policy.

This is all because our society is getting more sensitive by the day. Probably an attempt to get hillary elected

Not really surprised - this is the year of, putting it bluntly, offended pussies. Still, YT changing their policy really does not affect me in any way, and them being SJW filth also isn't anything new. All I can do at this is roll my eyes and move on.

"Politically correct"... still can't believe this idiocy is widely used and taken seriously.

PC will become the majority and I don't think there is anything we'll be able to do about it

Political correctness, like any manner of speaking, is time and place bound. You do not need to be politically correct 24/7. Chances are, if you think it's universally bad, you're just a **** who's mad he doesn't get free passes to be a **** every which where.

I'm honestly trying to understand the logic behind this decision? To lose money maybe?

Something to do with "advertiser friendly" I think? Like, providers of the ads don't want their stuff being so closely linked to controversial topics or obscene content.

this shouldnt be illegal, its youtubes right as a private company to refuse to pay users who dont follow their rules. i dont agree with their choice but i agree with their right to make that choice

Yeah, but I'm sure that still costs them money as probably the majority of youtubers are not advertiser friendly.

I hundred percent concur with this. "Political correctness"(which is mostly incorrect), SJWs and their derivatives are leading to the degeneracy of our society. Sad!

OT: The policy is an out-and-out joke.

PC will become the majority and I don't think there is anything we'll be able to do about it

Not only is that term used pretty much solely in America, it's also used mostly online. It will absolutely never become a world-wide thing in reality.

Just let Riker have his training wheels when he's on the Internet, it's the only place he can fight back.

Don't quote me, first of all, I've seen enough of your toxic babble on this section to know I'm dealing with yet another 2016 snowflake. There's literally nothing political correctness can do to stop me from doing or saying what I want when I want it in life - that's what actual law is for.

Political correctness is a term spawned by the Internet, and like all things with the same derivation it is simply used by inconsequential nobodies like you to exert an extreme form of "control", or rather borderline dictatorship, so that they can ease the pain in their ass which even mild jokes can easily bring about. Political correctness is, at best, made to cater to the recent overflow of sensitive bitсhes online (again, like you) and has basically nothing to do with reality. As the Internet is extremely easy to use and reprecussions are mostly small, everyone can now act offended by anything and choose to block or censor somebody on the spot, exactly why it is still and will continue to be the only place this stupidity flies. Real life doesn't work that way.

You can have your PC cancer online, where your opinion definitely matters :)lol) - trust me, it doesn't affect anyone with a working brain at all.

You clearly have no real grasp on how political correctness applies in real life.
