Gai wins alone. Tobirama just has FTG, which contrary to popular believe, isn't even instant as you need to tag your opponent first, and Tobirama isn't fast enough to reach Gai's base speed, let alone his 7th Gate power.

7G Gai showed good reaction speed against Madara preventing him from attacking like he did to Minato. When Madara reacted to his punches and kicks, he was unable to attack Guy based on how fast Gai was able to react and throw more attacks. If that wasn't reaction speed, Gai would have been struck down right there. DB3 confirms what I'm saying when Gai was shown reacting to Kisame with such speed despite him attacking him previously.

Tobirama gets stomped in this fight. Gai has big chances of soloing let alone these 2.

Tobirama is no slouch with speed and reflexes. He blitzed Izuna and does have ftg

Makes sense. Reacting to Madara's strike (or rather being able to since he didn't actually do so on panel) might be a better feat than reacting to Obito's Shunshin from medium distance. However considering in movement and striking speed, Gai>>>Tobirama, so even if Tobirama had faster reactions, if Gai moved much faster it'd make being able to react to Madara's strike possible. So this feat doesn't necessarily mean that Gai's reflexes are better than Tobirama's, it means that the effectiveness of Gai's striking/movement+reaction speed>>Tobirama's reaction+striking/movement speed.


And Tobirama couldn't defend because he can't defend from the Gudo Dama as he has no defensive abilities. He already physically reacted, so if he had the ability to block the Gudo Dama he would've survived that strike.

Gai's feat against Madara was more of a testament to his striking speed more than anything, in my opinion. It's not that he was fast enough to "counter" Madara in CQC to avoid a Minato situation, but rather Gai's Taijutsu is so fast Madara never had an opportunity to strike back. I mean, all of Gai's attack are based on exponentially fast movements i.e Hirodura and MP being really fast punches creating after effects. Even in the scan, Madara's being
