Enemy wasn't there and he chose to watch hinata memories as that is what was going on in that scene. Didn't you even watch the movie properly or are you just trolling. Plus the enemy wasn't even there at that time so it didn't matter. Naruto didn't attempt to break out of the genjutsu, as it's shown in the manga he knows when he's one (against itachi and tried but failed to break it) here he didn't even try doesn't equate to him not being able to. Again same with kurama wasn't shown that kurama couldn't break naruto out of the genjutsu. Not trying to =/= not being able to, there's a difference. It could be that he uses it to shield himself from IT.
Rinnegan + Bijou=Release from IT.
Rinnegan=Shield from IT.
Bijou=shield from IT.
