This trailer was such a let down, they basically showed nothing AGAIN. Where's the gameplay? Where are the connections to the previos entries in the series if this is truly Resident Evil "7" and not just some spin-off? Looks like any other boring walking simulator and we had more than enough with Outlast, Amnesia, Penumbra and all the other countless Indie games that were around for several years now. (I know that we'll at least have combat in this one, which is a step up from the other walking simulators).

inb4 back to the roots: Ah right, the good old first person, VR, ghosts roots. (even the first Resi was more of an action game with some horror)

But maybe people are talking about good old Gun Survivor and Dead Aim, the worst games of the series.

RE1 really didn't scare me. Maybe a few jumpscares but that's it.

Iirc i remember capcom said this will have a connection to the previous games, capcom won't say though. Capcom also confirmed the story won't have a supernatural or occult themes to it.

Seems they're trying to implement some psychological horror to it, which is kinda new to the RE series. I'm honestly not salty over this, as long as they turn it into cod zombies. Idk if you've played spec ops the line (good underrated game), one of the writers from that game will help write the RE7 storyline.

Just when both RE2 remake and RE7 get released, let the sales do the talk and you'll see that RE7 is another letdown like RE4, RE5 and RE6.

RE4 a let down? Sure it pretty much upstarted the whole Cod zombies thing but it was far from a letdown in my opinion. We'll see if RE7 really is a letdown or not.
