Ooh, boy. I'm gonna get sh*t for this.
Many people pointed out how a base Sasuke was able to keep up with what should be a fully powered Naruto in their fight against Momoshiki, which...is not right, is it? Some even pointed that he managed to outspeed him at some point.
Well, here I propose it. Was Naruto holding back his speed?
I'll explain.
Momoshiki is obviously a strong opponent. But as we've seen, having taken Kinshiki's strength, his main prowess lies on the fact that he is a tank.
He can take a lot of damage and deal just as much. He is not as fast as Naruto and Sasuke, but both times he landed a blow on Sasuke, he was able to easily blast him back a ridiculous distance.
The best way to deal with this opponent is by keeping a distance and spamming ninjutsu, but the problem is that Momoshiki has the ability to absorb and redirect ninjutsu and chakra, forcing their opponents to fight him with Taijutsu.
So, with Ninjutsu restricted against an opponent who can both take and deliver a lot of damage, what is the best way to approach him?
By taking advantage of your numbers and covering each other's backs, of course.
Naruto and Sasuke are fighting side by side, they are fighting as one. They make it so neither of them needs tp open much distance from each other and risk getting hit without the other being able to step in and save the other. Note that while Naruto doesn't go full speed, Sasuke also never uses Amenotejikara. He doesn't want Naruto to lose track of him because one of them might get hit, which is a no-no against Momoshiki. As long as neither of them are caught off guard, they're fine. If they are though...well, we saw what happened to Sasuke
One shot at his opponents is more than enough for Momoshiki to hurt them badly.
Well, that is the initial tactic, anyway, before Momoshiki goes Doton on Naruto and traps him in a mountain. But it really does speak as for how good Naruto and Sasuke work as a Tag team.
Anyway, thoughts?
