Could EMS Sasuke capture Itachi in a forest?

Yes. He has more stamina and can outlast Itachi. He also won't suffer from eye damage from using the mangekyo sharingan. His taijutsu is probably better. The only area he loses in is genjutsu. If Itachi used tsukuyomi then he might fry Sasuke's brain. Itachi also has yata mirror which will render all of itachis techniques useless. It'll be a battle of substitutions, deception, and illusions because if either one of them get hit by amaterasu then it's over. That will force both of them into their complete susanoo modes. Itachi will win the susanoo fight.


Overall Sasuke loses to susanoo and tsukuyomi and itachi is smarter and more deceptive.

If itachi is running away and doesn't want to fight id imagine he would genjutsu sasuke to distract him then disappear but like the pic you posted ems sasuke caught up with itachi right after he had used a distraction

If you mean when they first met in the foret when itachi was heading to labuto, itachi murks sasuke, why? Cuz;
- itachi is smarter
- itachi was faster and had better reaction speed (see kabuto's fight)
- itachi has yata and totsuka
- itachi has izanami
- itachi has edo unlimited chakra to top it off

Sasuke never surpassed itachi until his fight with juubito were he grew faster and he developed his eyes and got legged susano
