Nagato didnt "fail" to abosorb natural energy, he did abosorb it as he also abosrbed jiriayas senpou rasengan with ease. its the effects of the NE that led preta to turn to frog. also pretty sure madara didnt say that though i dont have the VIZ but someone can provide it. he still abosrbed the FRs neg dif in the end so not sure how that helps your point.

I don't even know why people use that "too much" scan as evidence of preta's limit. Madara clearly meant the attack was too powerful for any other option than to simply absorb it.

Your perception of "too much energy" is wrong. Madara said that because the rasenshuriken had too much energy and would **** him up if he didn't do anything. He could obviously let himself be hit by it and regenerate again because he's an Edo, but that would take him some time because the rasenshuriken explodes and he wouldn't be able to regenerate until after that explosion finishes. That would leave enough time for the alliance to solo fodder Muu and seal madara. The smoke that came off his hands is merely a compliment to Naruto's rasenshuriken. In theory there is no limit to how much Preta path can absorb - but naturally the more energy that needs to be absorbed the longer it will take to actually absorb it.​

yeah especially as Gaara held down his soosano at that point and was pulling him towards the frs so he couldnt use it to to tank. him saying the attack is too much has no relation in his ability to absorb it. its a misconception

Gakido is said to be a bottomless pit, not whatever edo Madara did.
Because you can't look at preta path going through 2-3 senpou rasenshuurikens and Madara barely going through one and call that the same thing. Pain was able to absorb a lot but he doesn't know how to use frog sagemode so he'll turn to stone. He ended up absorbing all of naruto' sagemode energy right? That's why pain was able to pin him down with those rods.

Pain being unable to handle sage chakra does not support the notion of Preta Path having a chakra limit and Madara's statement also does not, since Pain had already absorbed (multiple?) Rasenshuriken without trouble.

Your thread fails on the canonical account that Pain absorbed Natural Energy, but turned to a stone due to side effect of not balancing it. Preta Path's bottomless hyperbole is supported by how Momoshiki was able to absorb even hidden clan Jutsu's, something idiotic members denied its capacity to do. Bottomless pit is a feat and not hyperbole. Preta Path is the ultimate defence against Ninjutsu.

The fact that Sasuke didn't absorb Momo's bijuu dama when it was the best choice to use and the Naruto had to tank and contain the bijuu dama within himself tells you enough. Still I have faith in Sasuke fan's denial.
