Try to update chrome, and clear cache. Youtube videos work for me in chrome too.

I havent updated nor did I delete the cache, the youtube tag suddenly started working today.... weird.

Chrome normally auto updates unless you have changed the settings to manually do it. So seems they fixed the bug.
