Title; is there something or someone that triggers you if you see or hear it? If so, what happens and if you want to share, how bad can it get?

My trigger would be physical abuse within relationships, that garbage just makes my blood boil and I want to beat the living hell out of whoevers being abusive

If you have a trigger like Tumblr users when they see "man" anywhere, then you need therapy. The only people on this planet who are allowed to have triggers are soldiers with Shellshock and rape victims.

It's definitely seemed to take a more lax meaning in this day an age

Sounds like the average feminazi, sickens me. But I really wouldn't limit it to soldiers only, considering victims of rape and abuse have been shown to react very negative towards certain people or things. I'd say someone that actually hasn't experienced a traumatizing event has no right to say they have a "trigger"

That's what's so infuriating. To have a trigger means you have a neurological reaction invoked by a forced traumatizing event that prevents you from thinking rationally and perceiving the world around you at any given moment. Hardly anybody who claims to have a trigger has this problem, meaning it's just them talking out their ass.

A better word for this is "pet peeve".

People who make claims without any evidence. Like I know everyone is entitled to their opinion but when yours is based on no credibility then why should I even consider it

I've got a few of them... :p

One of them is very simple when someone removes my glasses from my face, that's like pissing off the Hulk in me xd... I've done some poundings because of that. :sigar:

Tip to OP

Heh, little tip don't argue with people in threads like these. I made the exact same thread and it ended in at least a 3 hour long argument. It's just not worth it bro.

There's a certain sound that drives me crazy. I'm not sure how to explain the sound, honestly. I'm going to sound mad retarded by the end of this sentence but if you're like me, you will understand.

The moment that you hear it you close your eyes and pray to God that the person/thing making the noise stops before you beat their ass.

Outside of that 'noise' -- The only thing that really gets me 'triggered' are those who mistreat their pets.

I think...just anything that...nevermind I don't. I hate transpassing on other's opinions. I'd simply remove myself or rather simile at their ignorance. :hyper:

Having to be in the Sun (trigger)...not that I don't like it or anything it's just too bright. I am a night owl type of person o-o

I'm a "trigger" for you then. Interesting tho.

OT:
I gladly have no "real trigger", like the ones mentioned by FreakensteinAG. But I don't think OP meant such triggers in the first place. Here are some reasons for me to loose my calm.

- rude, ignorant, evil and just plain stupid people (usually a big part of the human population)
- accidently dropping food on the floor, especially pizza
- being cheated and lied to
- being bothered soon after leaving the bed. I need my time after sleep
