Hidan is underrated and Tier 1

Definetly underrated, he's good solo and even better with a team like the Akatuski. With all the forces they have, all they would need to do is work together and get a tiny scratch on an opponent and it's gg. He's immortal too, plot just solo'ed him like all the Akatuski members.

Kishi never having the time to expand him and his skillset (like his scythe's abilities) means that he's perfect where he is. He's a one-trick pony and also the slowest / dumbest Akatsuki member. He NEEDS support which is why Kakazu is his partner otherwise even Asuma would've beaten him when his head got sliced off.

Think about it hard enough and Kidomaru defeats Hidan low diff.

That said he's still a favourite and conditions permitting- he can surprise and defeat a lot of capable ninja.

Kishimoto said he was the slowest i'm pretty sure. It's not a fan statement anyway. Yeah his reflexes are great but actual footspeed the databook downplays severely. I don't get how Hidan is slower than Sasori and Deidara...and he shouldn't be but demz the facts.

Also this is an ancient matchup. There's nothing Hidan can do against Kidomaru's Sticky Gold Armour. He's too one-dimensional a fighter meaning that anybody who can go intangible, Hozuki hydrification, edo, no blood, armour or can fly are impervious to him.

Asuma cut his head off despite the fact he was bleeding out and dying, granted I believe shikamaru is holding hidan down here. But if you know of his technique anyone hokage level and up can cut his head off no difficulty

His whole blood ritual jutsu is pretty gimmicky. Don't get me wrong, its a strong technique, but it requires you to be able to actually hit your opponent and get their blood, which we've seen Hidan struggle to do against Kakashi. Being faster and having better reflexes is all it takes to make this technique useless.

He's not as good as ppl make him out to be in solo matches, anybody who can channel raiton into their weapons can take him out possibly since they'd slice through his scythe. This means omoi has a good chance of taking him out, not only that but even if he gets blood you have to sit there and let him draw the circle and perform the ritual. He only looked good with kakuzu backing him up but 1 on 1 he loses to a lot of ppl.

A Majority of the Akatsuki were completely broken characters, Itachi, Konan, Nagato, Kisame, Hidan ect. Kishi had to kill them all off for the sake of the story.

I wished kishi expanded on his skillset, giving him two clones alone would have helped and some scythe abilities, but tbh as he is he aint strong enough to face kage level opponents, some kages have flight (muu, ohnoki) some are too fast and would blitz him (tobirama, raikage, 3rd raikage, minato) so he won't land a hit, some have good defence/healing (tsunade, gaara), some are just OP (hashirama), even without intel none of these kages would let hidan scratch them, his fightingstyle is one dimensional + he needs prepp, tbh I liked hidans xter

So yes Hidan is not that strong if he can never land a single hit.

So yes Hidan is not that strong if he can never land a single hit.

When you are immortal, that is a different game altogether, it means there are times you can even sacrifice your body to land a simple scratch, huge advantage there.

Asuma could do the same with his blades, one of the sharpest cutters in Naruto with his wind style infused hien. That didn't stop him from getting wrecked.

Yea it does, cuz hidan won't be able to bypass any of the raikages lightning cloak with his scythe, nor would he bypass gaara's sand with his blade, nor is he gonna draw blood from gengetsu, ohnoki and muu vapourizes him etc etc he is weak, whether you like it or not. Pretty sure more than half of K11 would beat him.

You mean the sword masters? You mean the intelligent, spiderman with giant spider summons, trapping webs and the ability to form weapons, arrows and blades.

It's a tie even if Kidomaru didn't have any attacks of his own.
