Pokémon is a total joke in my eyes nowadays. The instant they added pre-evolutions they sold out their brand to buy itself more time. I mean making a pre-evolution to Magmar? Such a travesty.

Then once they came out with mega-evolution they sold out to the maximum, by trying to copy the power-up status of other anime in order to make themselves more successful. This also broke the identity and immersion of Pokémon and put it into the confines of digimon, where the rules of temporary evolution were the norm. To be completely honest, I stopped caring the moment pre-evolution came about. I miss it when there were only 150 of them.
