It's Yhwach, he comes back, he kills everyone, and then Hachigan kills him. Yhwach may be basically a god, but Hachi is an Atheist.

Ichigo has to be one of the most uninspired protagonists I've seen...even by Shonen standards. I mean he has no long term/ life goal ( become king of the Pirates, become Hokage, end the world of all evil, etc) I mean seriously

Ikr he's lame he has no motive all he does is say he want to protect people even though those people can protect themselves. And he's bland af.

There's a strong possibility this happens. Ichigo was already stated to be near the point of being too strong to remain in the living world.
