After he came back to life, he showed Machi that he could pretty much heal himself with his nen.

Why didn't he do that while fighting Chrollo? Maybe he couldn't, and maybe it is true that after death his nen became even stronger, hence why he could give it a new use, that he couldn't do before (with a weaker nen).

If he had regenerated his leg and hand during the fight, then he could still have using bungee gum with those 2 extremities. So i'm pretty much confident that he couldn't do it back then. This is the confirmation that this Hisoka has a stronger nen.

Maybe he didn't want chrollo to know all of his abilities. It seemed hisoka knew he was in trouble about half way through the fight, he could of just planned on it seeming like he died for some unknown plot reason. I'm not a fan of chrollos fighting style but the dude is a beast

When Hisoka was falling, he realized he was going to die. Just before that, he tried to save himself and realized he was missing a leg. Why didn't he regenerate it right there and save himself? What you said can't be true because Hisoka was not even sure if his reviving thing was going to work, so that idea of hiding his powers to chrollo is useless if he'd die anyways.

Very good point, regen'ing his leg seems like it would of helped a lot in that situation. I think your right, once chrollo is done explaining those 3 or so abilities there's a panel talking about "nen becoming even stronger, through death!"

That isnt really healing, its simply prosthetics.
And it wouldnt be safe to show all your abilities to the enemy.
Not to mention that Chrollo does not know that Hisoka survived, so its a measure to surprise the Phantom Troupe.

As i said before, Hisoka didn't know that he was going to revive, and he only tought of it when he was already being swarmed by the puppets and he looked for a way to survive with his nen.

So it was not a measure to surprise the troupe after his death.
