Lol read the thread, Kishi drew that panel because it shows the possibility that if he went down a different path he would have became Hokage. It doesn't matter how old you are it matters what you grow up to be and if became Hokage the Uchiha wouldn't have been murdered and Sasuke would still be in the village

Yes it does, you need skill and experience, why would people have chosen him over Minato?

Obviously, thats why if Obito became Hokage any sign of Hatred the Uchiha had would diminish conpletely. Minato would choose Obito because he knew how badly Obito wanted to be the Hokage and help everyone in the village

As if becoming Hokage is simple. He was still young it would have taken decades for him to be even considered and why would he gain that position in the first place?
Madara was already convinced of his infinite dream plan so that wouldn't have changed, Obito would not have wanted after he saw Rin die, if he had become Hokage instead of the fourth then yea the Uchiha would likely not rebel but that wasn't a possiblity.

Minato doesn't get to choose we saw that with Hashirama choosing Madara. Everyone wants to help and be good to the village that's not enough Naruto didn't become Hokage after Tsunade they chose Kakashi first.

I was thinking when he got captured by Madara, it wouldn't have been possible to just install an Uchiha hokage to prevent a revolt.

I don't think they understand that even if Minato stopped the coup there'd still be tension among the Uchiha. By choosing Obito to become Hokage the hatred would cease and it'd be a political victory in Minato's favor. Obito becoming Hokage would have been good for the village entirely.

So even if the Uchiha didn't go against the village they'd still be cautius about them because they know how the Uchiha are, they'd still carry some hate. If Obito became Hokage it'd be a message to the clan that the village respects the Uchiha for their knowledge and power to the extent that they'd choose Obito as Hokage. And Obito would have taken his job seriously because it was his dream just like Naruto

Like I said earlier, Minato would have prevented the coup, and by choosing Obito in the future the chance of an Uchiha Coup would have been stopped completely. Itachi wasn't someone who aimed to be Hokage so he would have rejected the offer but maybe Shisui would have taken the role of Hokage

It was his dream, not a certain possibility.
