Kurenai is a wasted Resource

Kurenai went toe to toe with Itachi Uchiha, and is quite possibly the best non-ocular genjutsu user in the Manga.
So why haven't any of these so called Genjutsu types been seeking her out, or even assigned to her.
Imagine if Sakura could put her opponents under genjutsu so she can actually hit them. She'd have been High Kage level from the start of Part 2, instead of getting left in the dust.

Now Sarada, HAS SHARINGAN, IS GENJUTSU PROFICIENT, AND HAS IMMACULATE CHAKRA CONTROL. I just can't grasp why they would forgo the training.

The only genjutsu that matters has to come from a sharnigan or dojutsu period but I agree somewhat.

And his genjutsu was useless against the ones who mattered, she needed to hone her other senses into genjutsu, she probably was created so that Sakura would have someone to teach her genjutsu

too bad that never happened. With her chakra control, Sakura's genjustsu would have been crazy!

It's sad tbh, her genjutsu was much more intresting and versatile than any ocular genjutsu and her character design was killer. Kishimoto sucks major.

IMO she should've been Sasuke's mother. She has no plot relevance in the long run, so if they wanted to do a Genjutsu Master with red eyes, they could've done that.

Honestly she had so much potential, it was wasted, and her design is one of the best, probably what Sarada should be wearing.

genjutsu is a complete waste of time for someone that can overpower ppl with their physical strength. The gaiden and the recent CE showed why she's better off not wasting her time or chakra on it.

And I think thats part of the reason her genjutsu was scrapped, because she probably would've used it against a Uchiha, and how would the sharrigan over power her own chakra control, when she is portrayed to have the best chakra control in the series,

Agree with femme that she was just created as a plot device to develop Sakura's genjutsu talent but that part of the manga was scrapped by Kishi so she became irrelevant.
