I don't like posting on forums like this but I felt this was the easiest way to go about letting an issue be known. I'm on an LG v10 and when I go to read bleach manga, I get ad redirects to malicious fake Android virus websites. I've cleared my history and cookies, I've replicated this problem on chrome, opera and Firefox. They're all the latest updates.

I'm on an Android and I get those same redirects all the time. It's not just the Bleach manga pages either. I spend the majority of my time in Naruto Discussion.

i think its the ads thats in the pages.

it isnt necessarily the site's fault however they cant let those dubious malicious pesky ads in their site

It has been brought up a few times and this is what Zise said :

To answer this question once and for all. There is two possibilities when you get this type of popups and store redirects.

Since it only happens to selected few people,the only option is that someone from your area has done something shady and bought adspace through the ad provider we use and then loaded a jscript redirect into their code without that the adprovider company has noticed it. This would explain why some people get it and others do not. To confirm that this is the case you can disable jscript on your device and then it should stop with limited functionality on the site, but if you still get the redirects or popups then it's more likely to be a malware.

Either way please do screenshot when it happens and PM it to me so that we can report it to our ads provider so that the people behind it can get banned.

Have any of you tried to do that? i.e. testing it without Jawascript?

Anyway if you can provide a screenshot of it when it happens it will be helpful in talking to ad providers about it and resolving the issue. You can post the screenshots here or PM it to Zise.

I PMed Zise about it with screenshots weeks ago and never got a response. (I imagine he is busy with something else at the moment) so instead, I installed ad block for my mobile browser and that seems to be doing the trick.

He has been busy lately. He comes online though even if only briefly and a bit slow with responses because of limited time. I will send him a reminder- or you can PM and ask him if there was any progress.

I replied to it but if you want a second opinion and talk to someone else, you will have to wait till an admin comes online. It can take a few hours or a day or two at the moment with admins being busy. Please reply in that thread only.

V is working on this issue, please provide screenshots when it happens as it can help with narrowing down which ads that is malicious.

Nowadays the ads have stopped but I get a some fake "google" popup saying I have a virus which I can't back out of. So I have to close the tab and reopen Narutobase. Only happens on my mobile device but it doesn't happen on any other site e.g Quora, FB.


NB is infecting my device and I may be looking to sue for damage control.

Thank you for the screen shot. You are right only webmaster can do anything about it- Versuvio aka V is the webmaster here and as Zise said he has informed him.

Thanks for your help. Btw, I did manage to disable JavaScript and the issue hasn't occurred since. But if I understand correctly, it prevents ads from being shown at all? I know that's bad for business.
