Does anyone feel that way? Nothing in the Bible has ever been proven. No one has proven Jesus, Angles, or God's existence. Also all the teachings in the bible were probably made by some old man who was stoned on blueberrys and wrote a story to keep the local town children from being bad.

I am struggling to find a reason to believe in God if nothing is proven.

In a mother’s womb were two babies. One asked the other: “Do you believe in life after delivery?” The other replied, “Why, of course. There has to be something after delivery. Maybe we are here to prepare ourselves for what we will be later.”
“Nonsense” said the first. “There is no life after delivery. What kind of life would that be?”
The second said, “I don’t know, but there will be more light than here. Maybe we will walk with our legs and eat from our mouths. Maybe we will have other senses that we can’t understand now.”
The first replied, “That is absurd. Walking is impossible. And eating with our mouths? Ridiculous! The umbilical cord supplies nutrition and everything we need. But the umbilical cord is so short. Life after delivery is to be logically excluded.”
The second insisted, “Well I think there is something and maybe it’s different than it is here. Maybe we won’t need this physical cord anymore.”
The first replied, “Nonsense. And moreover if there is life, then why has no one has ever come back from there? Delivery is the end of life, and in the after-delivery there is nothing but darkness and silence and oblivion. It takes us nowhere.”
“Well, I don’t know,” said the second, “but certainly we will meet Mother and she will take care of us.”
The first replied “Mother? You actually believe in Mother? That’s laughable. If Mother exists then where is She now?”
The second said, “She is all around us. We are surrounded by her. We are of Her. It is in Her that we live. Without Her this world would not and could not exist.”
Said the first: “Well I don’t see Her, so it is only logical that She doesn’t exist.”
To which the second replied, “Sometimes, when you’re in silence and you focus and you really listen, you can perceive Her presence, and you can hear Her loving voice, calling down from above.” - Útmutató a Léleknek

In short, you won't get any answers with reasoning if you want to understand God. If you have thirst for "it", you'll find your answer when you least expect it.

In Full Metal Alchemist anime/manga, there is a quote. "Truth hidden within a Truth".

Same applies for any ancient scriptures. Be it Bible, Vedas, Geeta or Quran. Don't try to take anything literal from them. They are far more advance and scientific than today's science and philosophy. There is always a truth hidden inside a truth.

Also, believe in what you want to. No one is forcing you except ISIS. In that case, pee on them to show dominance.

If you don't have relatives or friends that are into it I don't see any reason you should be. I would say it's about being good but atheists would likely destroy that argument. You don't have to take every religious text as absolute facts. Just be yourself that's what's important.

For me, it was always a matter of not really needing religion to find myself at peace. Some people require some guidance of a faith they chose to believe in for one reason or another, that never happened to me, and so here I am, Agnostic and pretty much satisfied with the choice I made.

At least that's the mindset I approach the question of religion in.

Religion is inconsistent and even among those who do believe in God, there is no concrete agreement on who God is, or what God does, so why have so much confidence and faith in someone you have no real knowledge of?

It's a fools game and it's only used to exercise comfort.

Well I'm pretty sure some things in the bible are actually proven facts, so to discount the whole thing is a little of an assumption. No one is forcing you to believe it, but as a Christian I hope you do eventually. You should also ask why shouldn't you. I mean, in my opinion I feel like our world is so systematic. Like I just can't believe that things are the way they are because of chance. Why are humans so different from animals, why are we able to have this conversation but other beings cannot. What made the water cycle function like it does. Why does everything coexist in such a way that we all depend on one another. The world looks designed imo, so I'm the type of guy who sees a chair and believes that a chair maker made it. Idk what you believe but I know many people who will believe in evolution it things like the Big Bang THEORY. Not proven but they would believe in that. Perhaps you don't believe in anything. Lol it wouldn't hurt tho to believe in God.

Why did you highlight theory like that? Do you have even the slightest clue what the weight of the word theory means in this context? How incredibly hard it is to get something to the status of theory? You know that the concept of GRAVITY is still a theory right?

ive seen an apple drop but I haven't seen a Big Bang create many planets and life. People still treat it as facts.

it is both pathetic and hilarious that there are still this many religious people out there at this point in time....religions are bullshit, especially the bigger ones....
there are several reasons why people still believe in god. for example, lack of education, ignorance, traditions, indoctrinations etc etc.... i

besides its in our biology to believe in gods. its kinda hardwired in our brains. our simple mind canno understand and progress information and theories that are too complex....

But can't religion have had a purpose, like for people to do good or to connect? What other animals has religion than humans?

Well no one knows i believe because i dont have nothing to lose if i do so the question is what if its all real
If you don't know then why do you even believe? Is it a feeling of satisfaction? Does it make you feel good to believe? Do you feel safe when you believe? What's the difference between believing in something that you aren't sure of and not believing in something that you don't care about? Wouldn't it just be easier to not believe at all and not waste your time on something you have no certainty of then believing in something that might not exist?
