Why do people keep complaining about aizen's bankai? Theoretically he doesn't have one anymore. Aizen's zanpakuto crumbled away and his hypnosis ability seemingly fused with him.

If i'm not mistaken, bankai is a zanpakuto's final/true form, Aizen no long possess a zanpakuto so how could he possess bankai? :sdo:

Exactly, aizen seemingly has the ability to project kyoka suigetsu from his body now, he no longer has or requires a zanpakuto.

This makes Aizen extremely powerful and stupidly haxxed, good thing Ichigo is immune to it. That reminds me, how is Ichigo immune to kyoka suigetsu but yhwach isn't? Yhwach never even seen Aizen's zanpakuto, let alone got hit with kyoka suigetsu. Yet aizen activated his ability before yhwach arrived and it effected him?

Aizen had already caught Yhwach within the power of Kyoka Suigetsu when they first met. He did it back then to confirm that he could indeed use it on the Quincy without his sword. He said that he had deactivated it when Ichigo arrived at the fight, so that Ichigo would not be caught within it's powers. I'm assuming that Aizen still has to use some kind of trigger command to use Complete Hypnosis, but I'd imagine it's much more efficient now, since the enemy just has to look at him.

I see, however Aizen himself noted kyoka suigetsu didn't effect ichigo. Aizen never deactivated it, infact he was trolling yhwach with it. XD

Aizen stated he "released" it before Ichigo arrived, which by that I can assume was to prevent Ichigo from being caught under its influence. Aizen used his ability to make himself look like Ichigo and Renji, Ichigo look like him.

If he still has Kyouka Suigetsu's power, then surely he would still have his Bankai as well. It's not like Ichigo lost Tensa Zangetsu when he was done with his Dangai training.
