He was powerful but at the same time overhyped


His greatest feat resulted in his death, and when you think about it the top 10 shinobi none rikudo enhanced can easily beat the kyuubi

Madara sharingan tames the kyuubi low diff
Same for Ems Sasuke
Same for itachi
Same for Obito
Hashirama mokuton controls the kyuubi and restricts it
8th Gate gai completely wrecks it no question it would have to be respawned somewhere else or something don't know how a bijuu deaths happen
Kakashi can snipe it's head off gg
Nagato can ct it

The. Minato's most powerful shinobi he faced was a 13 or 14 year old kid with relative no battle strategy and new power that he didn't master yet and minato barely one it came down to literally fractions of a second, who was faster...

I think he's talking about when Bee fought Minato and after he fought Sasuke, he said he was the strongest person he has fought or something along the lines. Neither Minato or Bee went all out in that situation tho. I'm sure Minato would slaughter Akatsuki cloak Sasuke before he could even think of using Amaterasu.

Minato would slaughter Sasuke. No one can really take on Obito, unless they have S/T jutsu or have crazy foot speed, which Sasuke at the time had none.

He was legendary and feared in his generation, so although he didn't live in the strongest era of Konoha- he's definitely strong. For me, he and Itachi are up there practically equal just short of the Top 10.
