Obito had goggles, they were to keep dust and objects from coming into contact with his eyes but he never had bad eyesight. Only MS users have bad eyesight because of the potency of their chakra.

Exactly, gaiden should've been Sasuke informing Sarada of her lineage, the rise & fall of their clan and his history with Sakura (relationship) while traveling togather (like Jiraiya & Naruto).
