Full Nudity UK Gameshow - Naked Attracton, thoughts?

So a new TV show dropped post-watershed in the UK this week. It's called Naked Attraction and it's a dating show akin to Take Me Out but it shows full nudity first before revealing the faces and casually and maturely talks about sexuality and body types. Is it superficial trash or genuinely something new, embracing insecurities and comfort in our own skin? It's...odd and I can't tell.

This is some kooky Japanese gameshow level-programming and I can't tell whether it's the absolute bottom of the barrel of reality TV or some kind of interesting social experiment. Let's definitely get more comfortable with nudity socially, but is this the way to do it?

It's superficial trash, just like any other "dating show" is. This is why I don't watch TV anymore. You get bombed with trash like this and can really feel how your brain cells rapidly die away when looking at this crap.

This, its the same old dating tv crap we see from time to time. The whole naked aspect is a cheap and trashy way to get more viewers, modern televesion is garbage.

Then again, asking an anime forum their opinion on TV is a bit of an obvious mistake. Anime fans have huge bias.

I see what you mean about it possibly being an avenue to breaking down barriers, but honestly most TV programs don't do these things for social transformation. To me it just seems like another gimmick for views.

The idea itself can be deemed interesting to say the least.

From a business point of view, the idea will probably prove to be a success (Don't know whether in a good or bad way) because it's definitely unique,eye catching and most likely controversial.

As for the idea itself, I don't really get the part where they said "Modern dating has become a complicated business; status symbols, online profiles and the clothes we wear can all get in the way of finding our perfect mate".
It doesn't really make sense to me, like how can you pick your perfect mate by looking at someone's genitals? lol

And how is one supposed to get comfortable with their own skin when the show goes on with the contestant rejecting the nude people one by one? Wouldn't that make someone more insecure?

Even if we take their word and accept the show as a means of social transformation, it is still a reality TV show at the end of the day and the way most of these shows are conducted would only show how superficial the idea is. :|

i think its a good idea but i could see it getting stale fast for me

i do also agree with the concept, majority of people can barely even speak infront of a crowd of people. these people are infront of a huge audience in the nude, putting themselves out there for love. its for the bravehearted and the contestants would probably grow a lot from being on there

if they were on there having *** on stage or something that would be low class. being nude isnt low class imo
