DC animation doesn't understand that having edgy things happen to you doesn't make you a more developed character. Original writer hates the storyline too.

The Batfamily is the entire point of Batman having younger comrades. It's a family dynamic and he's her paternal figure.

Plus it's just one movie and Dik (is that his name?) nightwing or whatever, him nor Robin are in the movie. It's just batman and barbarra. So it's not as weird because they wouldn't have to deal with the awkwardness.

Animated team don't know how to handle or respectfully deal with heavy subjects, especially in the case of their female leads. Their most recent outing is proof of that. It's all connected ))

A single scene? It's the entire theme of the story and reason the story is notorious. It's 'the one where Joker f*cks up Batgirl' and the fact that even the writer is ashamed of it today says some things. Not that it's completely without value but that 'they were there to dial it back and they failed'.

It's exploitative, excessive and adding more sexuality in such a sensitive place sends completely the wrong message. Marvel mess up sometimes too but it's never over actual rape is it, regardless- Marvel isn't relevant to this conversation.

Just saw it and the fact they actually made the two have *** is beyond disgusting. Never watching another DC animated movie again. From now on I'll stick to the big screen.
