Why did Madara lose his Rinnegans when he finally died

Remember back in ch. 691 when Madara died his second and final death. His rinnegan were missing and he looked blind. Is anyone else wondering why his rinnegans are missing. He didn't have fake rinnegans like his ED self. Was it because Kaguya changed his dojutsu, thus making him lose rinnegans or did he lose every bit of chakra in his body including the Hagoromo chakra in the Rinnegan, from the unstable Kaguya bunny spitting him out. I just noticed that he is also missing his Hashiboob(the face of Hashirama on his chest). Flyodical brung up the idea that Guy's final attack destroyed it.

He didn't lose his Rinnegan, he just doesn't have the chakra or life force to keep it activated. He also still has Hashirama's DNA, it's just a drawing error that was corrected in the official volume release.

Well, when kaguya was getting revived. His rinnegan got torn to pieces or split up. That's probably why he doesn't have it anymore.

His weak life force. There's no reason for him to be blind in both eyes. Kaguya didn't alter Madara in any way.

Ya... so apparently Hashi's DNA on Madara's chest not being there was a mistake. If you ask me, however, it still makes more sense that he lost that DNA. Guy completely destroyed that half of his body with his final attack and since that Hashirama DNA was not a part of his original body, it would make sense that it wouldn't regenerate. But oh well, I'm not the author.

As to the Rinnegan, it seems he was simply sucked dry off all his stamina and power by Kaguya. He likely could no longer sustain the Rinnegan after that point.

I used to think this too, but believe it or not, the anime actually cleared this up. If you look at the manga, yes it indeed looks like it shattered:

In the anime, it was shown to not be shattered but simply the ooze that became Kaguya engulfed it. If you look at the manga page closely, this could pass as accurate. Bottom line is his eyes clearly did not shatter because he had them intact after he was spat out. His body and eyes were simply engulfed by the ooze that became Kaguya, not eyes were actually lost.

I don't think the anime is good way to confirm that, those little chipped pieces look it came from the rinnegan. Even if im wrong, the rinnegan was split into two. Possibly absorbed or destroyed by kaguya's revival, the only doujutsu that remained was the rinnesharingan.

Seems like he still had his Sharingan even going blind so maybe his eye's was devolving?
