Was it? I get confused from time to time since I'm reading the English translated and sometimes translators flip the names for convenience. Also him being a more American based character(from what I remember of Oda's descriptions of their nationality) made it seem like Cutty was his first name. Plus Cutty sounds more like a first name rather than Flam and OP does have characters with their first names first(Edward Newgate and Marshall Teach) unless I'm reading that wrong too and BB's last name is Marshall, first name Teach. Also Law is his last name right? Isn't Trafalgar his first name and waterlaw his family name? Either way though the point is, Franky has a first name it's O-S-C-A sorry, anyway the point is Franky has a name and it's not Vinsmoke.

Newgate is WB's first name, and Teach is Blackbeard's first name. The translators still keep it in the right order, as they call Luffy Monkey D. Luffy. Flam is his first name.
