Naruto was aiming for the tree. He went to kill 2 birds with one stone (Madara and the tree) Madara dodged it to some degree and still got Merked enough to where he was forced to absorb the falling Shinju in order to survive the injury.

Sasuke blindsides/blitz Maddy with his chakra (raiton covers sword) cuts Maddy in half and that makes his sword stronger than RSM and bijuu by itself?....:wut:

Sasuke's sword by itself is not stronger than a FRS. Naruto's FRS can be absorbed, Sasuke's sword can not.

Naruto did much more damage. Besides, Naruto made it burst just after making a little bit of contact, sending him flying and taking out the tree while he was at it.

While Sasuke cut him and Madara wasn't fazed at all.


His sword is fodder.

No that wasn't the OP's point. But I get what you are saying. At that point Sasuke's raiton was at the Rikudo level so yes, that is roughly equal to a more refined and focused form of power rivaling TBB without the mountain busting effect.

But that doesn't make the sword more powerful than RSM. The sword is only as strong as the one holding it.

Naruto wasn't aiming for the tree though. He was all in on Madara. The tree just happened to be right by them.
