Am I the only one who found Neji's death bittersweet?

Neji told Naruto that fate is something that cannot be escaped. Was he right? Turns out despite being talent-less as a child Naruto was never meant to be a failure. His father was the legendary 4th hokage, Naruto held the soul of the inheritor of ninshu, and he was a jinchuriki. Seems to me he was destined to become savage.

Neji on the other hand was also destined to not achieve his full potential within the Hyuuga clan because of the branch of the family that he was born into. And in the end, just like he told Naruto. Neji died protecting Hinata(although it was his choice to do so, he still could not escape his "destiny")

He was killed for a pairing. I at least wanted to see him and Hiashi go 1 on 1.

I don't think the fact that Naruto is a faux underdog removes merit from him in the slightest. He had no help of Minato's to get to Kage level, nor the Kyuubi's. If anything the latter was drawback. Ashura to that point only helped him mold him in terms of personality. It didn't give him anything in terms of power from all I know.

Asura did not make his personality.

Eh.. I don't want to believe that. Kishimoto hinted NaruHina since the beginning when Naruto beat Neji during the chuunin exams for Hinata.

Lol what about his god mode(Idk the name of it) that he got towards the end of the show? Although your other points are correct.

Part of it.. Naruto was at first considered a failure, but had the help of people to have him grow in one way or another. That is definitely due to being Ashura's transmigrate.

Neji was already confirmed to have more talent than the main branch, he died because of plot and nothing else.

What about Hashirama?

His Rikudo Sage Mode was not his own doing, but a power entrusted to him only because he had proved worthy of wielding it before. Naruto doesn't need it to be strong though. Sage Mode already puts him on Kage level, and that is a power he struggled to acquire. Not to mention KCM, which he had to fight Kurama over. Bijuu Mode though could be placed under the same label as RSM seeing as it was more him fighting to prove himself worthy of the power rather than acquiring it.

He did not inherit that trait, but its undeniable that his personality matches with Naruto in some ways, just like Madara's matches with Sasuke. We don't have a lot of Canon info on what Ashura and Indra were like, but it could be argued that this is another factor of the transmigration.

Indra = Itachi's intellect, Madara's will, Sasuke's talent

Ashura = Hashirama's kindness, Naruto's will, both of their talent

He died because Kishi knew that if he kept him alive, he would activate the Tenseigan.

Itachi isn't a transmigrant so his intelligence is his own and has nothing to do with indra

Indra was said to be a genius with strong visual prowess which is what Itachi was as well. And Itachi got his genes from Indra like every Uchiha.

Doesn't matter, Indra was said to be a genius and Itachi is the definition of one.

Yah but it literally has 0 to do with indra and is nothing more than coincidental

Personally, I was sad when Neji died. He was one of my favorite characters.

The question was how was Indra's personality, I'm bringing up Itachi because he portrays the intellect that Hagoromo would have been referring to. Indra was said to be called a genius since he was a child which is what Itachi was as well.
