Hagoromo's powers that he constantly kept entrusting are the following:

1. The bijuu's.
2. His Sage Chakra.
3. The Sun seal (the seal that Naruto had).
4. The Moon seal (the seal that Sasuke had).

I just realized.. And if I'm wrong I'll take the blame accordingly, but... How can Hagoromo pass the Sun and the Moon seals ? One of them belongs to Hamura. I doubt he had both seals and gave one to Hamura.

If he was born with both seals then he wouldn't have needed Hamura to seal his mom.

So, how did Hagoromo ended up with the sun and moon seals ? Because he keeps passing them. But to fight Kaguya he needed Hamura. The only logical path is that Hamura had the other seal otherwise no need for Hamy.



*Note: Imagine how haxxed was one of the brothers when Hagoromo gave all his power to only one of them: 9 bijuus + Sage Chakra + both seals :x3:

Hamura had it when they sealed their mom but then Hamura went to the moon and gave back one of the seals back to Hagoromo who was entrusted to spread ninshuu.

It's not a plot hole when brothers share. This is probably what most likely happened.

No. The OP is basically just asking why Hagoromo had both seals when he gave power to Naruto and Sasuke (an event which was in fact shown in the manga).

They weren't just born with the power that coincidentally perfectly seals their mother. Hagoromo created the seals and gave one to Hamura, assuming that they even used them to seal her in the first place. The ten-tails by itself is not that efficient, especially when all you have to do is touch it. Either they thought the battle would be harder than it was or they defeated it without the seals, instead using the Rinnegan's Planetary Devastation.

He might have been born with both the Sun and Moon seal but then again I don't see this to be the case because it stated that both Kaguya's sons inherited her chakra and I think both sons inherited one seal to seal off Kaguya. Then he entrusted his seal to Hagoromo thus having both. Idk some things are unclear.

Well techincally a seal mean it can be performed in a way that the code is being activated.
Just like you can perform the seal in various way to write out the same code.

Example Jiraiya using his hair and feet to draw out the seal while his hand being occupied
or Haku draw out the seal with just one handed.

In the Sun and Moon seal, it could be a complex code, but as long as it regard as a SEAL, it can always being duplicated if the requirements meets.

It shows the existence of a third seal, the star seal which was Hamura's legacy. This legacy was wiped out by Black Zetsu to prevent the complete sealing of Kaguya.

The Sun and Moon seals belong to Hagoromo only. Not only is there massive evidence in the manga itself, even Kaguya confirms the seals were Hagoromo's powers.

The Sun and Moon Seals of Hagoromo along with the Star Seal of Hamura complete the Holy Trinity, the Chiba Mon. The Chiba Mon is the Ootsutsuki clan symbol and has cropped up in Toneri, Boruto and Kawaki's cases.

The Star Seal is basically the final peice of the puzzle to complete Chibaku Tensei and end the Juubi.

However the seals came about is irrelevant. What we do know is that Hagoromo and Hamura had one each in their younger years, but that they came to the end of their lives with Hagoromo having both. We could best presume that Hamura gave Hagoromo the Yin Seal before moving to the moon, because of Hagoromo's residence on Earth - the place where all the major events would occur.

On the flipside, we could say that Hamura gave his seal to Hagoromo after death; we know that both have the power to interact with the living, so why not each other? Hagoromo with the KKM Rinnegan has command over the realms (and the ability to connect) the realms of "living", "in limbo" and "dead".


Either way, he knew of Gamamaru's vision and at one point or another, probably asked Hamura for the seal in preparation for Naruto and Sasuke's coming.

No ome knows. But I know that it relates to his staff. Hago has the full staff sun on top moon at the bottom when fighting the juubi.

Hamura has another staff altogether so they might each have their own set of seals. Or maybe all thats needed is Six Paths Senjustu, Rinnegan, and Hagojust created the seals specifically for Naruto and Sasuke.
