It's completely filler but if you do end up liking it then read the manga from chapter 1. The anime is trash.

I don't know anything about the third one, for Gintama... but trust me, you will not be dissapointed if you watch Sword of the Stranger or Akira..

Depending on what mood you're in, or what type of anime you like better, just read the summary of each one and see what intrigues you more..

Both are amazing movies though.


EDIT: Also, I would like to throw in Cowboy Bebop The Movie.. (you dont need to have watched the anime to enjoy the movie.. if you haven't seen it already though, I recommend both.)

If you haven't seen the Ghibli-movies yet (My Neighbor Totoro, Grave of the Fireflies, Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle etc.), then you should definitely do it. They are not action-movies tho.

I'd also heavily recommend "Hotarubi no Mori e". Again, not an action-movie but it's very awesome imo.

Summer Wars is one of the greatest movies of all time and the fight scenes are godly.

Sword of the Stranger has the best fight choreography sequences of any film in existence (rarely disputed)

Tekkonkinkreet is a beautiful and stunning movie if you're up for surreal imagery and action.

I'm a film student who loves animation, so have fun.
