When the Sannin decided to let Nagato, Konan, and Yahiko live do you think it was the right call?

What transpired after this Jman's death, and the destruction of the leaf could have been avoided. Hanzo would have lived. The communication with the Rain village would not have become so bad, and they may have played a larger role in the story.​

Obito's plans would have been ruined- simply because Nagato was the only living child other than Karen, or Naruto who could have weilded the eyes. Sasuke was a possibility, but even Obito had issues with Hashi's cells.

If Orochimaru would have killed the kids, do you believe that the war, and Madara's return could have been avoided?​

Obito and Black Zetsu were still planning Infinite Tsukuyomi. They were just find another vessel for Rinnegan. Maybe Obito himself.

Black Zetsu would still be in the background manipulating someone or something, the only thing that could changed is Naruto & Sasuke ending up dying similar to how their previous reincarnates. Nagato was nothing but a catalyst to the grand scheme of things, all Madara would've had to do was find another pontial but then again Nagato was being shadowed. There's a huge possibility that someone would've interfered and stopped Orichimaru from killing him.

I actually considered that, but it was most likely just a Zetzu, and not Obito himself. And those would have been made short work of.

Well Zetsu would've had the ability to delay Orochimaru from killing Nagato instantly, while Oro + the other Sanin were soloing Nagato could've ran away.

Regardless of the aftermath it was the right decision and i am pretty sure J-man would have gladly done the same thing all over again

Personally I think the only dumb decision made here is that Jiraiya didn't keep tabs on Nagato despite knowing he had the Rinnegan. I think that was something he ought to share with Hiruzen or who-ever was in charge at the time. Probably not smart to have the information widespread so a scumbag like Danzou could go after it, but just enough to where Nagato could have no secrets in terms of location at least.

This is true. But eventually Danzo found out anyway when the Akatsuki were formed and he ended up betraying and getting Yahiko killed anyway thanks to his deal with Hanzo which, inadvertently, set Nagato down the path of Pain anyway so there's that.


OT: It's not like they could see the future or even knew what was going on. So yeah it was the right thing to do. Killing kids simply because they are at the wrong place at the wrong time is...well...something Orochimaru would do but not Jman.

Kids grow up into adults. I know many soldiers who have had to kill kids, because they can sometimes the extremely dangerous, and they don't have the option to take chance.

I honestly doubt there was another bloodline as strong as those of Naruto's clan.
