Same to Jiraiya who used summoning no jutsu but doesnt know that it requires contract, or Minato who watch bijuu dama and trying to mimic rasengan.

The fact that childhood Naruto could use the shadow clone jutsu before even going to the academy, let alone stealing the scroll to learn the jutsu?

Shadow Clones, yeah, that's a plot hole. More accurately, it's just Kishi forgetting the difference between Shadow Clones and Normal Clones, which Naruto historically sucks at.

As for Kurama, It's not impossible. If Naruto made a shadow clone which went into Full Bijuu Mode you would have another Kurama running around.
