Have you never played Roulette? You spin the wheel and drop a single ball on it(the board is usually laid flat and in a bit of a bowl so the ball doesn't pop out though) and whichever slot the ball lands in is the result. So since she called it roulette, she'll spin the wheel and stop it, wherever the marker is, is the punishment. Based on how it's set it'll probably be a mix of both but the board will spin that way you can't aim for the lesser damage.

Yes I've played roulette that's exactly why the board doesn't make any sense.

If she would spin that wheel how would that work according to you ? She spins it, it stops in a column and and then Jimbei scores 1000,10,100,10 and loses a limb ? Makes no sense.

it looks a million times more like a dart board than a roulette wheel. Like I said before, roulette is just french for spinning wheel. So it will probably be a spinning dart board.

Also if you want to get technical, if this is roulette, where is she going to 'drop the ball', you already said yourself that this isn't going to be roulette.

I am really hoping that Jinbe is just gonna be on the coast waving away as they get closer and closer until Luffy gasps and the little waddle that Jinbe is having to do to walk haha... Thinking of a Hiccup from How to Train Your Dragon 2 moment. But I'm pretty sure it won't be Jinbe, otherwise he'd protest from going back into Big Mom's territory to go and get Sanji.. It might be someone like Pekoms giving them a final warning or something and I think Luffy will either saved Jinbe before he gets decapitated, or just hears his 'whales' and rushes in to find that he's just lost a leg, would be cool IMO.

A few things peaked my interest though:

What were those black shaded shapes in the bottom panel of page 8

Why Pekoms and Pedro went to go get another Road Poneglyph, was this after Roger had become Pirate King, or maybe before, or even for Roger. He's says he was on an adventure, but surely he'd have known more of what they were getting into if it was after Roger's visit etc

The 20th daughter, it says hammerhead shark and half mermaid, nothing about human? Plus, I'm guessing that's half hammerhead shark and half mermaid, I could be wrong but I don't think we've seen a cross like that and with no mention of human, either Big Mom is some kind of merfolk or that's not her biological daughter, which begs the question if all the rest are too. Maybe she's creating family by dishing out years, or maybe she can carry on life my taking it from one body and putting it into another, personality and all. So many questions, so few chapters

But what I took most of all from this is probably Pedro saying how the minks must see similarities between Luffy's and Roger's crews, literally Oda stating that they're alike.

What makes you think that? I don't recall that ever being the plan, not to mention they left Pudding in her home then sailed away straight after... Also, why would she give them a detailed map with directions and not just go with them and tell Nami what to do?

Nah, it's definitely not Nami for comedy reasons, Nami doesn't really do that, it's normally Usopp followed by Chopped because of Usopp... If you look at the page before and in the last panel she's wearing something different, so why for one obscure moment would they have her in armour? Very curious as to who this is...

Edit: It almost looks as though whilst Carrot is in awe of this new place, the little flash drawn it is as if she's recognised someone is behind her

Double edit: In fact, I'm going to go out on a limb and say that Carrot is saying "Woah!!" and the person behind her is saying the "Ah!!" and that's what Carrot has clocked onto... I don't know if this is a surprised expression or whether it's like a "Ah, we're finally here" sort of thing.

Well, there is nothing I can do if you simply refuse to believe it. It isn't really that quixotic to believe tbvh. She simply hadn't done something like this before. That, however, does't mean that it'd be completely out of her character. You're just overthinking it. She's as cowardly as Usopp and Chopper. So, there is no reason to believe she wouldn't wear an armor.

Even if we try to disregard everything I've said before, it doesn't make sense for Pedro to not to notice the person behind Carrot. Considering, he slept on the right edge of the deck, in which case he should clearly be able to see anyone coming out off or standing in front of the middle door.

Moreover,everyone except for Nami and Pedro had a band aid on each of their faces, which, apparently was the resultant of their battle with the monster ants. Don't you think it doesn't make sense for her to not to receive a dent, when even people like Luffy and Carrot aren't an exception?

I don't really see how that would be losing anything. Repugnant as she is, she's still very well a Yonkou, so I don't really think she would be using logic along the lines of "if you nail me, your dignity will be lost". Though maybe she devours her partners after copulation, you know like a Black Widow spider and to be honest that possibility doesn't sound that unlikely ._.

That's why I said iirc but that's not a good example that she would remember him. It wasn't a one on one interaction it was with the whole crew. They never spoke to each other. Sanji's changed appearance over the skip(I know nothing major but if glasses hide Superman whose to say hair over the other half of your face wouldn't confuse someone?)
