Replacing Sakura on Team 7: Karin or Hinata

Hinata by miles. She is the perfect candidate for team 7. Sakura never belonged.

Karin. Her Chakra Chains broke through Spiral Zetsu's Buddha and in a filler she managed to get Suigetsu as well with them.

The last thing Team 7 needs is a shy and weak Hyuga on the team. Her Twin Fist is no good and the Jyuken is only good as the Byakugan user.

Karin would be a much better add.

Hinata's byakugan would've been extremely helpful in the 3x Kakashi clashed with Zabuza and his Hidden Mist Jutsu. Kakashi's sharingan was impaired all 3x and he needed to be rescued all 3x (twice by Naruto and Sasuke and once by a member of the Nara Clan). Plus the Byakugan could've been useful in the forest of death recon mission.

The Byakugan is definitely useful in a fight but the user is not at all great.

In the War Arc she had to be reminded to use her Byakugan by Kiba instead of doing it naturally. Her instincts are slow which is why I am saying the Uzuamki with large stamina and chakra chains that can destroy a Buddha statue is more useful than her.

You need a woman with sharp instincts and the ability to communicate well with the Team. Hinata's reluctance by not speaking is going to hinder her usefulness.

Also putting her on Naruto's team might not due you so good. Remember the time when she completely fainted when he came next to her. I know those times have changed but it could always occur again like it had in the Last.

Hinata is better than Karin at combat(unless Karin controls those chakra chains better) and has the Byakugan. Karin is a better sensor and healer. Both have their advantages but I would go with Karin but I'm not 100% sure. I also think Karin has better analyzing skills, if she puts her mind into it.

But, if Hinata was on Naruto's team she would also be a valuable asset. Beside Naruto, her confidence in her abilities would have skyrocketed and she would have thus become a greater ninja earlier on.

Tbh Sakura was a wrong choice for Team 7 from the begining. She was completely useless in part 1 onr the other hand if Hinata were the main character in place of Sakura, then even with the little development Kishi gave Sakura, had he given the same to Hinata then she'd have been even better than Sakura then she already is.
Think about it, she fought against Neji and did survived for a while. Neji was a genius among the hyugas no doubt but his hatred towards the main family was also one of the reasons he excelled so well whereas Hinata never liked fighting and was forced into her situation but Naruto always gave her inspiration. So being in team 7 with Naruto would've helped her to mature better while Sakura was always looking to suck Sasuke's d!ck instead of being useful.
If Hinata and Sakura had fought during the chunin exams, Sakura would've lost easily against Hinata's gentle fist. then later if Hinata was Tsunade's apprentice she'd make a better medic nin than Sakura with her byakugan x ray vision and precise hyuga chakra control and then mastering all of Tsunade's techniques she'd have truly reached closer to Naruto and Sasuke's level if not equal. ASkura on the other hand despite training under Tsunade would easily loose to Hinata even now. Hinata on the other hand with super strength and gentle fist combined would be a beast. She even might've developed a new fighting style combining the two.
Even Hamura noticed Hinata's untapped potential and chose to communicate with her and gave her his chakra. Naruto would've been much better if Hinata were Team 7.

See the thing with both Karin and Hinata is that they are particular attached to either member of Team 7 and will exclude the other.

For example Karin will only talk to Sasuke because of her early infatuation on him while disregarding Naruto, and Hinata is too mesmerized to even know Sasuke exists because either she will look at Naruto or faint.

Sakura is the best choice because she could interact with both and acknowledge both of them. That's a true partner in battle.

Neji preferably but if it had to be between Karin/Hinata i'd pick hinata.

Simply for it being better story wise to have all team members some what linked to Kaguya, Naruto/Sasuke being Hagoromo and the Hyuga being Hamura.

none, sakura played her role well especially in the war arc in which she proved extremely valuable to the team who would have died without her. but if i were to pick then karin. can fight with her chains once she masters it, can heal and she can be analytical as well as shown in the danzo fight. plus is a sensor so very useful indeed

HINATA BC of her Hyuuga descent, more NH panel time and some SS goodies (for me) and she would have made more sense and relevance if she were in team 7.

Karin is an iteration being an uzumaki. Why put two uzumakis in a single team?
