Of course it would have made sense. Hey! Freezing you nullifies The Miracle! Here, i'll prove it by freezing your sword then cutting it in half! As you can see, i'm not damaged, so now we know that Freezing nullifies The Miracle. Now i'll just freeze and decapitate you (nullifying your regeneration as we go). He should be dead by now, for obviously reasons.

He's not even a threat. He's basically a punching bag at this point, with captains trying out new tricks to hit him harder, overpowering him every time, and forcing him to regenerate while the captains get tired out by their new powers rather than by the big guy fighting them.

At this point, the best way to kill him would be for Obito to show up (He's dead, therefore in Soul Society), open a portal to the world of Attack on Titan, and throw him through. He wouldn't seem out of place there.
Actually, just get Kenpachi to cut the back of his neck, see if that stops him.

Nah, this is an Elite Sternritter fight. Chances are they would just collapse in exhaustion afterwards, that's what happens every other time.

Correction: Two. Because this is bleach, only one character is allowed to take the main spotlight at any time, and Byakuya is occasionally throwing attacks in as well. The only people who were still able to fight once he got decapitated were Byakuya and Toshiro, since Kenpachi had taken a nap, and Renji/Rukia had wandered off somewhere.

Besides, these guys aren't as awesome as the other people to fight elites. Byakuya's cool and all, but he doesn't really stack up against Shunsui or Urahara.
