[Discussion] Disproving All The Future Goten Is "Black" Theories

The amount of theories going on about this are crazy. Literally it fits nothing in the manga or the anime filler in the original series.

I've been arguing on Twitter and Facebook with people. They're sticking to this, even though it makes 0 sense. If there was some wiggle room for error, then yeah. When all the source material says that Goten was conceived during the Cell Games arc, how can people say he was conceived before Goku died of the virus?

Not on either side here, but Trunks hair clearly remains the same & even then there is a new activity out called haircutting, it involves getting your hair to look anyway you desire it, provided you have the hair.

Also, Is there anyway concrete evidence that details what traits hybrids get from the Saiyan side vs the Human side? No.

EDIT: Excuse me I know I might come off a little rude, but Goten is my favorite DB character, so while logic disagrees, I'm slightly hoping he becomes relevant again.

even with Future Trunks, we saw his hair change multiple times in the series from growing. Same with Gohan. Even Trunks now, his hair is longer in certain areas.

Gohan hair changes appear to be more from resulting haircuts than anything else.

And again Goten could've gotten haircuts. Either way, as I said I have a neutral standpoint. I was just giving possibilities, to explain the hair.

But it's not 100% illogical for Goten to exist or another child of Goku/Chichi to replace him, I Mean in future trunks timeline, Instead of training for 3 years for the androids he could of spent that time with ChiChi because he obviously didn't have any warnings like the time line we know.

But then again if he did exist, Pretty sure we would've seen him with future Gohan when he was training trunks so yeah it's obvious he doesn't exist but it's not completely impossible.

I'm on the same boat as you believe it or not. I really wanted it to be Goku, Trunks, and Goten in GT but the shit editors replaced him with useless ****ing Pan, rendering Goten useless for the entire series until all that Baby shit.

Goten was a wasted character in GT. I personally like his design in chapter 520, or the last episode of Z.

Follow me here, Trunks was born then grew up to the timeline where Goku dies and only had one son so he comes back and avoids that, now Future Trunks' timeline has changed and he's grown up from that point in time, so when Future Trunks comes back this time it's not the Trunks who grew up with a dead Goku it's the Trunks who grew up with an alive Goku and Goten. Right?

No. In the episode, the press release, and Toriyama's statement, they make it clear that it's Future Trunks who fought with Gohan and Goku in Z. They even state that this takes place "after the artificial humans and Cell were defeated by Trunks", which fits the original story where Trunks goes back to the Future after Gohan kills Cell and kills the 2 cyborgs and Cell who are in his timeline.

Nothing that happened in the Z era timeline affected Trunks' future. Time travel in DBZ doesn't work that way. In the episode they even had Trunks have a flashback to Gohan fighting against Cell and Vegeta seeing him off when he returned to the future to kill cyborgs 17 and 18 and Cell.
