Big Mom can take someone's life span with her DF.If she can take...can she give it as well? Since as we know Luffy lost 10 years of his life span If I remember correctly when recovering from Magellan's poison.Oda is consistently connecting Luffy with life span loss hence the Gear 2 life span thing in part one and that poison recovery from Magellan.So either way I can see Big Mom taking or giving it back(if possible hence if it was possible she would of given the life span back to his son? Or she just doesn't care? I'm assuming it's possible since food is literally talking xd)

I was thinking the same thing and went to look up how many years he had lost when I started reading some posts that made good points. 10 years and even say another 10 from Gear 2nd, which it likely isn't that much, wouldn't be much of a loss to Luffy who's only 19(20 at best if it's been a year since the return) also and I don't know if this is true or not but someone said Oda said people can live to 140 years old in OP world so that still leaves Luffy 100 years if he lives to the oldest Oda said.

Now am i the only one who thinks that luffy will fight MA at the EOS and will become PK and die instantly due to sucking up all his life force in the last attack he give to MA. Maybe oda wants luffy to die due to loss of life span on his entire journey....

I'm with you when I saw that panel and they mentioned 40 years I was wondering if she can put back life force as well, I imagine there'll be a connection between Luffy and BM when she finds out about Lola so as a thank you she might give him life. The main hold up is where does that life come from? Does she make it or does she have to take someone else's like she did her son then have to give that to Luffy? If it's the latter he probably won't take it.

Yeah I thought so too but I thought he'd give it to Luffy not Big Mom :/ since I thought that Jinbei's poneglyph was the unknown one.

Most likely to appease her, especially after everything that has happened on FI. She can't read it either way while he knows the Strawhats (Robin) can. Most logical idea would be that Jinbei made a copy of the text on the poneglyph for Robin and then gave the original one to Big Mum.

There are many unknown Poneglyph. I assume you are referring to the missing Road Poneglyph, however those have a different color. Now it's not possible for us to see a difference unless they mention it, but I reckon someone would have made a remark if the color was unusual. I also think we can rule out the possibility that the Poneglyph Jinbei just gave, was the Road Poneglyph Big Mum is supposed to have in her possession. Meaning that if this was a Road Poneglyph, well then she would have two of the four Road Poneglyphs and in that case her reaction wouldn't have been so casual.

Yeah I agree, also logic dictates that this can't be a road poneglyph because it wouldn't make any sense storywise. With already 1 in Luffy's possession he will definitely need to get the one from big mom to find his way to Raftel. It's very convenient that both Big mom and Kaidou happen to have one. But if Big mom would have 2 In that case Luffy already would have three points on the map.

Simple math shows that with three points the destination has to be somewhere on one of the lines that you form a triangle with. If Luffy would already have 3 in his possession after the big mom arc, it doesn't really make sense to go after the 4th one.

I'm guessing the 4th one will be revealed by Shanks when all the cards already have been played and Luffy is on his way to Raftel, just to save some time Shanks will give him the final coordinates as the protector of Raftel.

What did you expect? We've already seen her as a power-hungry, ravenous woman. I don't see anything in this chapter that we didn't know before, other than the fact that she can steal someone's life force, which is friggin' cool.
